I was making fun of the limited pad functionality from day one but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't addicted to spamming that huge clown horn every chance I get.
You can just press L when you don't have an item to do that.

Man, that blue shell really messed with my groove.
That's awesome. I love introducing video games to my younger siblings, but I'm sure it's a whole other thing when it's your kids.

Been playing Sonic Transformed to compare. I'm still leaning toward Transformed as the better kart racer. The tracks are just better and more exhilarating.
If it was only 60fps and beautiful as MK8, it'd be no contest!
But because of Transformed's bad performance and blurry graphics, MK8 is better on the Wii U.
But the PC version of Transformed is still king, IMO!

Playing alone, those red shells are frequent and annoying! Never thought bananas were so useful!

150CC is where the real Mario Kart 8 begins tho. Shit gets real.
Mt. Wario is pretty damn good, definately a different kind of track, also home of one of the craziest finishes ever
