No. Better/tighter mechanics that allow for high level play
High level play on Mario kart World....If at least was MK8

I hope this isn't a serious MK64 to CTR PS1 comparison.
64 having more rubber bands than a bank alone makes the racing experience horrible.
Yeah. I just guess that many people thought:NOt crazy at all. MKW is bundled and digital.
Yeah. I just guess that many people thought:
"MKW? Cool but i'm good with MK8. "
I meant a lot of people probably thought:The attach rate of MKW is ~96%.
Switch 2 sold 5mn in June.I meant a lot of people probably thought:
"MKW? I'm good with MK8 and the Switch 1"...
Let's see after one year... Switch 2 and MKW might take off for good or slowing down...?Switch 2 sold 5mn in June.
Switch 1 sold 322k.
It will be evergreen like the previous titles. The masses will love the open world as they tend to simply play games and enjoy them. They rarely obsess over what a game does not have.Let's see after one year... Switch 2 and MKW might take off for good or slowing down...?![]()
Speed > Dynamic camera > wait for the super sonic speed mode (available later)No HDR? Definitely expected HDR. And I find the sense of speed lacking the recommended speed mode but even the Sonic one is slow for me.
Yea I agree on the dynamic camera thing, I have no idea why the incredibly stiff looking, Gran Turismo-style 3rd person camera is the default setting. The dynamic one makes the camera pivot around a lot more like Forza Horzion and Mario kart and imo it dramatically changes the sensation of speed. Pre-release stuff didn't look to hot to me but now that I have that set it completely changes the feeling of speed the game gives you and now I'm legit hooked, I keep saying "one more race" which is awesome.Speed > Dynamic camera > wait for the super sonic speed mode (available later)
Speed > Dynamic camera > wait for the super sonic speed mode (available later)
What's this ? Because at first I was not satisfied with acceleration on A. But in the options, you can choose RB.Still, they seemed to have removed older layout for controls. I prefer outrun style controls.
World was fun, but it got old really quickly for me. I used to play the hell out of SRT on Vita, so I'm actually looking forward to Cross World more. It would probably be awesome to play on the Steam Deck.Sonic looks more intriguing with more promise, World will probably be executed better but worse than 8 Deluxe for gameplay.
even without HDR playing on a OLED makes the game shines even more, game feels way more skill based than MKWorld that for sureHave they confirmed HDR for this game? Because this game begs for HDR with some of these tracks, wow.
Oh! Didn't realize triggers copied the bumpers. Good to know! What's this ? Because at first I was not satisfied with acceleration on A. But in the options, you can choose RB.
And this actually puts acceleration on RB/RT, drifting on LB/LT and items on A. Which is perfect for me. I love Outrun 2 so I think this is what you are looking for.

Worlds better and I dont even like World. At least the vehicles there dont feel sloppy as hell to drive.
Good to hear, i loved Sumo games but as for the off road, they didn't punish you that much...Game is amazing, loving the beta. Quite different from the previous games. Tracks are thinner, turn a lot more, drifting is essential. Slowing down during drifts to take corners is much more important than before. You lose a ton of speed when you hit walls or go out of the road. This is a much more technical game than the previous Sonic Racing games.
I feel the same, this feels a lot more skill based and competitive than MKW, even If MKW has a better driving feeling.Played the network test for a wee bit, this is waaayy better than MKW, its not even funny.
Lol, the fact that the game has Cross play alone makes it better than MKW, aside from the driving feeling better in MK, Sonic game feels more competitive, fast and skill based than MKW imo.just had the chance to play the demo of sonic cross worlds.
anyone who think this is even close to Mario kart world is smoking some shit that is expired 300 years ago.
What a joke compared to Mario kart world.
not a bad game. but nothing special about it either. will buy when its 15$ or something max
cross play is not a game mechanic. nor do I have a problem finding players in MKW. the game is trash. too narrow roads. all boards feel the same. all cars feel the same. too slow to even do flipping animation and the reward is garbage to the point you are better off not doing it. especially the holding the drift in the jet ski to jump up. Seriously a garbage game.Lol, the fact that the game has Cross play alone makes it better than MKW, aside from the driving feeling, game feels more competitive, fast and skill based than MKW imo.
Now If you like to drive on straight lines every time you finish a race MKW is the better game 100%.
Turn off driving assist, it's on by default, took me a couple of races to feel like something was weird, turned that off and it's fun again.Game is fun af, driving still feels a bit on rails? Its weird, but after a few rounds its definitely really fun

All power to the people who loved it. but this is a 100% flop.
The track design in this game is actually excellent but they need to figure out the controlsPlayed a couple hours. Kind of a mixed bag in comparing this to MKW....
Better than MKW:
Visual design
Customization options
Gameplay intensity
Worse than MKW:
Vehicle handling (this is by far the biggest problem I see with Crossworlds in its current state)
Item diversity
Music and general sound design
Overall I'd put MKW ahead just because the driving feels so much better. It still baffles me how Sega seems completely unable to build on success when it comes to Sonic. How they have handled the racing series after All Star Racing and Transformed almost feels like an act of intentional sabotage: they gave Sumo Digital a nickel to make Sonic Team Racing, and when that underperformed because of the lack of content, they took Sumo out of the picture altogether so that Sonic Team could make an inferior game. Similar story with Sonic Mania.
