Why do I get the feeling FF will turn into a gifted kids splinter group just like any random X-Men team?

Nice to see that they are going to continue Future Foundation since I have been enjoying that more than I did most Fantastic Four comics.

waaaaaaay off. There's a ton of characters running around with origins in other earths that it isn't really possible to dismiss them.

Age of Apocalypse earth alone has been used and abused so much it's impossible to ignore it.

The "zombie virus" originated in a parallel dimension and has made its way into marvel canon.

etc etc

etc etc

theres only so many universes because they give one shots and mini series a "universe" there is the 616 the main marvel universe consisting of, the negative zone, the microverse, Dark force dimension, mojoverse and the various pantheon realms and dimensions like mephisto/limbo/Hel, Asgard/Astral plane etc. All a part of the main 616 Universe. Now alternate timelines involving the 616 characters are numerous like the oft cited Age of Apoc, or Days of Future Past, Iron Man currently has an "iron age" mini series out right now. They are basically pocket universes for the purpose of a story , not unlike the What If? imprint. Usually upon first inspection they are just like the normal marvel universe but something went different at a key point in time.

Other books like Ultimates, and Marvel Zombies, Max ,2099, Marvel 1602/Noir are imprints. They actually do comics for those settings, ongoing comics or an anthology of comics. Yes they are marvel but they are a separate line.

Its silly to try and count all the alternate realities or even recognize half of them , most of them are one shots, glorified "What If?" stories in the ongoing monthly of a 616 book. The rest are well known cross overs into alternate realities like Heroes Reborn, Days of future past , M Day, Age of Apoc, All that shit with Hyperion and the Squadron Supreme etc etc.

i didnt know the zombie virus was in the normal 616 reality what book?

Whether or not FF gets cancelled, it really feels like kind of a waste so far. For instance, why did Hickman feel the need to spend two out of seven issues just explaining how Black Bolt survived a storyline that no one read?
If you didn't read it that means you haven't been following cosmic Marvel stories the last few years. Which is a shame.

how did Black Bolt die?
Basically the Inhumans got tired of all the bullshit around earth, so they were like "fuck this" and moved their city-ship from the moon. The Inhuman race had actually been created and abandoned by the Kree thousands of years ago, so they were like, how about we go take over their empire. So they did. And now the Inhumans rule the Kree.
Meanwhile, in the X-Men books, Vulcan took over the Shi'ar empire. Being as he's insane, he started attacking and conquering other species. Including the Kree. During the end of the war, Black Bolt and Vulcan fought inside a giant space WMD and the end of their fight essentially killed them and created a giant hole in space-time.

I would have liked for Spider-Man to have dropped out of New Avengers and become a teacher/mentor for these kids. That and his FF suit is really cool.

Marvel Zombies 3, 4, then the zombie head Deadpool goes on to appear in the "merc with a mouth" books and also Deadpool Corps.

Why are they going back to those ugly blue costumes from the 60s. The white ones look so much better:

Keep the white costumes Marvel! Time to move past the silver age.
