These two are so awkward together.
Last week I finally found a team that seems to work for me-
Mag(a)/Dante(a)/Task(a)
Mag on point +DHC trick with dante, with Task being anchor. My only problem with this team is DHCing from Task's OTG super in the corner.
My only other team idea was task/shuma/dante, seems like it could work.

Finally strung together two finishing showers(I wish this thing were a beam hyper instead) using Morrigan just like Soulstar in that Starbase video from a couple of days ago. I've been experimenting with Captain america as well and it seems like his hyper charging star does not connect very well with other hyper combos. This hurts his chances quite a bit...
Tron is still pretty boss so I guess this game is going to get more interesting in the coming days.

Do you guys have any recommendations for a third character to partner with Morrigan and Ammy? This is just for my backup teams. I know Tron is definitely taking spot # 3 on one of them already.

It took 484 matches, but I finally bumped into someone ranked high enough to unlock Combat Specialist. Now I've got 1000/1000 and can retire from Ranked forever.
It's possible to do Air Shadow Blade > Finishing Shower > Air Shadow Blade > Finishing Shower > Darkness Illusion. Gigantic waste of meter but pretty funny.SolarPowered said:

The only quirk with this is that cinematic hypers (those that "catch" the opponent and are impossible to fall out of once initiated) will continue to deal full damage even after time expires. Other hypers will stop doing damage the moment time runs out.

There was an "in the lab with so and so" where the dude was running Ammy/HsienKo/Dormammu and the goal was to switch HsienKo to anchor with gold armor and have Dorm and Ammy do most of the point work. Ammy's slow hyper DHC into burning ball hyper is bad news. Dorm's standing M nullifies projectiles and can cancel into dark hole H > chaotic flame.
Dorm is bad news (for others). His purification assist as anti air would free you up to use Ammy's cold star and morrigan's dark harmonizer.

Ends on a reset, I can basically drop this combo at any point and it's safe, or end it prematurely at 3 points for very clean resets at unexpected times. Furthermore, I can choose to air tag or DHC at various points to bring in other characters safely. It also builds about 1.25 bars and works anywhere on the screen vs all characters :-D
I'm about to test right now, but I miiiiiiiight be able to kill sentinel with one combo using xfactor and no meter using this BnB as a base.

1,151,300 damage with lvl 1 x-factor, no meter no assist
1,367,100 damage with lvl 2 x-factor, no meter no assist
does not work with lvl 3 x-factor, further testing

I'll put some time in with him and see, but I can't imagine myself playing with him that much. I've always been the kind of guy who likes to move about the stage(yeah, Hsien-Ko is the exception). His chip damage potential is very tempting though...corrosivefrost said:

Dormammu can easily move around the stage, he has teleports. That's why he is so good, you think he is just going to sit there at the end of the screen and just chill with his Flame Carpet and full screen moves. Then he calls an assist and teleports behind you for the combo.
Flame Carpet into teleport sets up a situational unblockable. Teleport behind them and hit them causing them to be pushed into the Flame carpet which hits low. Good for setting up in corners or when characters are just coming in.
He's a beast for sure and people haven't even tapped into his "painting hands" shenanigans yet.

Since I'm out for a bit until my stitches come out of my thumb I thought this would be a good time to research new stuff.
I had been working on making teams out of any of the following in any order
Spencer
Haggar
Ryu
Akuma
Sentinel
Dormammu
She-Hulk
My best was Either Ryu or Dormammu strangely enough. My teams were generally mixes of Haggar/Sentinel/Spencer or She-hulk/Ryu/Spencer pairings with usually only one slot getting tossed for one of the characters I mentioned.
However, I would like to do something entirely different upon my return. My strategy was big damage, but it didn't have enough setups. I'd like to try practicing up some teams that are fast, and have a more diverse range of setups for their combos.
I'm looking hard at Zero, Ammy, Wolverine, and X-23 but I'd like everyones opinions here. What are some solid teams you would stand by for a nice high pressure offense team?

For high pressure game, Wolverine, Zero and Wesker get the job done for me paired with a good assist. Magneto too but I am not as good with him yet. They are all fairly easy to play with and they definitely give the average player lots of trouble with their mix ups and right/left cross ups. A good assist is mandatory, someone like Wesker becomes too predictable and easy to read if his teleports aren't backed up by an assist.
Dante I used for this a lot but people are catching on to his teleport. Still if you can handle Dante, he can definitely put the pressure.
