Needed more lawyering.
Needs less epsiodes.
Considering the show as a three-act story, we pretty much got a whole act of lawyer stuff in the People vs Frank Castle, so my expectations were surpassed.

And it's not like he's a small guy, he's just more doughy than Michael Clark Duncan.I dunno, I think D'onofrio does a good job with portraying the Kingpin as a man whose physical appearance and cultivated mannerisms belie his strength and brutality.

I didn't like him, his Kingpin made me laugh way too much when he was on screen in season 1..all i saw was the Pillsbury dough character.....lol
One thing that I find weird is they went nowhere with the concussion/hearing loss of DD.
Yep, I thought the same. It's Chekhov's disappearing gun.One thing that I find weird is they went nowhere with the concussion/hearing loss of DD.

Wait what the fuck does the Punisher die in E11?
That was the stupidest fucking thing if so.someone please tell me he's still alive.
Ok thanks. I thought that was stupid as shit, dying for no cause like that.Comic rules always apply. Unless you literally see a character be killed on camera, assume they're alive. Heck, even if you do see them killed on camera they might come back.
What made you think he died? I can't remember but I'm pretty sure the last time we saw him was on the rooftop.
He shots some dudes that DD is fighting and then he blows a kiss and walks away.
When the ship blew up, right at the end of episode 11. Watching 12 now, so I'ma leave the thread ^.^.What made you think he died? I can't remember but I'm pretty sure the last time we saw him was on the rooftop.

It's fine.Oh shit, you're right, my bad.
I forgot the season had 13 episode, I was thinking 11 was the last one.
Fuck, I hope I didn't spoil shit too much for you. I feel real shitty about that.

Wait, was the military guy who Frank killed at the end the Blacksmith, or just someone working for him? Because I refuse to believe that someone who has a reputation for eluding EVERYONE from federal agencies to Chinese drug dealers, would have pictures of his men (who were also his criminal associates) on his wall. Not only that, the one that Karen recognized (I think) announced to Frank that they all fuckin' knew him. (It was something like "You shouldn't have left us Frank!") Seriously... what?
Yeah I was thinking about this myself. There's no way that fucking military guy is the elusive Blacksmith, Karen saw right through him in five minutes. Would be a huge anti-climax.
My take is that Punisher is still looking for the actual Blacksmith.
Marvel really needs to give the Netflix shows more money, the last action scene looked half-assed especially since minutes before it was being hyped as "dozens of ninjas being on the roof"
It definitely felt rushed compared to some of the sequences earlier in the season. I was hyped for it when they showed all the ninjas coming from the rooftops and below, but then it turned into a fight with just Nobu, and then a slightly harder than usual fight with The Hand. Definitely not the last stand that Matt and Elektra were making it out to be.
Also, The Punisher stuff felt tacked on. I expected him to show up, but his sequence just felt disjointed. All it was missing was a thumbs up. But otherwise, everything before that in the final episode was solid. I enjoyed the moments between Elektra and Matt.
I want to like this show. I do. But the lack of internal logic is killing me. Sure, okay, we have a blind guy who has crazy heightened senses because he came into contact with magic goo. And then he decides to wear a silly suit with horns, and for some reason we're going to call him Daredevil, because--I'm pretty sure this is a direct quote from the writing room--"that's what his name was in the comic so I guess we have to call him that."
It's based on a comic. It doesn't have to make sense. I can roll with that.
But at least have some goddamn consistency in your world. Don't have him going "I can hear a liquid dripping in the basement of the building, and my senses are so good that I can tell you the liquid is BLOOD yeah I bet you're impressed" one second, and then literally thirty seconds later have him walk into a room with a bunch of people chained up and go "is anyone there, because if you are I can't see you because I'm blind remember that's my thing."
Just give me that. A tiny bit, an OUNCE, of consistency. I'm begging you.
Wait, what? When did this happen? The only times he uses that, is when people are around him and he has to act blind. People would go batshit insane if they saw a blind man catch a cup that dropped off a table. Matt can do that, but he doesn't, to keep the illusion of him being blind and impaired alive.
One thing I just realized, something beautiful; in episode 3, Frank tries his best to convince DD of his ways. Make him see that the only way crime is to be resolved, is the Punisher way. Put 'em down and they don't get up. Towards the end of the series, on the boat where Blacksmith ought to be, DD is convinced that some criminals can't be dealt with through law, but need to be executed. And he admits to Frank that just this once, they're going to do it his way. I loved how Frank just sat there and went "nah, you can't do it just once, once you cross that line, you can't come back.", stopping him from becoming like him. There was something resembling a mutual respect, even though they disagree on methodology. It was truly wonderful.
I can never stop thinking of Planet of the Apes whenever he goes Donkey Kong on someone and beats em on their chest lol.
edit: I know Affleck DD is lol, but I actually kind of liked the swagger that Michael Clark Duncan brought by doing Kingpin and obviously he was more physically intimidating.
The Kingpin (and Vincent D'Onofrio) is no pushover but this specific MCU iteration of the character has never seemed physically intimidating to me. :/
You would definitely shit your pants in front of him !
And in that episode, Fisk was benching something like 570 pounds, guy's a monster !
The cuffs weren't latched.Later, he snaps out of his cuffs like they're made of paper.
I finished it, was pretty fucking good.
But, where the fuck is Blacksmith? Not even an appearance? Why did they talk about him long before the finale, then?
Come on, Netflix...

What after credit teaser?
I went right to the end of the last episode after the credits and it was nothing but who starred in the foreign versions.
Okay I was tired last night but there's no way I'd miss this. What are you talking about? He was right there!
I dunno, I don't read comics. Is Blacksmith a comic character? I thought it was the weakest plot of the season. It started as an intriguing mystery, but it kind of fizzled.
Okay I was tired last night but there's no way I'd miss this.
This ain't Blacksmith.

No fucking way.Uh... you should probably rewatch those last couple of episodes
Yeah, it is. He was the one organising the deal between the three gangs, along with the chap that Karen recognised at the boat explosion.
