Yep, I'd love to have a 1080P 60FPS/RayTracing option.
Should be possible at 1440p I'd have thought? More than a 50% reduction in resolution, after all.

RT mode for strolls, slow camera pans, close inspections, and screenshots. 60fps mode when actually playing. Anyway, it looks good AF.
It's amazing how much better this looks just because of essentially higher quality versions of the assets and better draw distance.
Just those alone is a huge leap. The image quality is sensational.
I have to admit I'm pretty torn between the RT and 60fps, it's a shame we have to choose.
Surely we could have had both if they took the resolution down to PS4 Pro levels?
I doubt we will get the same goodness from 3rd party, or not for a while anyway.

After seeing more 60 FPS Gameplay I think that’s how I’ll probably play most of the game. So nice
Are you serious? So now that the first PS5 game come out using typical RT reflections, it's suddenly viable now when you guys shit on all the other games using RT reflections nearly the exact same way? What a bunch of fanwarriors. All we heard in the WD game was how RT was "meh" and not needed.
The question is, if you have more than double the time to render every frame in spiderman without RT, what could they have pushed if the game wasn't cross gen? I'm still on the bus of RT it's not worth it unless used sparsely but since here they are using it to pimp a cross gen game, i would take it over the performance mode.I'm not surprised to see the comments about RT now looking amazing once it has released on a PS5 exclusive game. For 2yrs, RT has been ignored since it was demonstrated on multiplatform games even if the implementation is identical (as such is the case). We can all now agree that the following games have a remarked difference in fidelity than their non-RT modes:
BF5
Control
Metro: Exodus
Watch Dogs: Legion
Ghostrunner
To the Moon
Godfall
Wolf Youngblood
Ray tracing is already rendered at a much lower resolution so the benefit of running a game at a lower resolution doesn’t scale to Ray tracing as well unless the quality is completely butchered.Should be possible at 1440p I'd have thought? More than a 50% reduction in resolution, after all.
120+fps with a Keyboard/mouse for shooters for me. Feels and looks absolutely sublime.60fps for first person shooters.
Locked 30 for everything else.
my fucking god , peter (ps4) looks like an old man when compared with his ps5 look

One day hopefully gaming will get past this kind of cringy fanboyism.
Idk why you would come here completely unprompted to whine at everyone because of some past resentment? Most of us here have no clue what you’re going on about.I'm not surprised to see the comments about RT now looking amazing once it has released on a PS5 exclusive game. I honestly thought he was a kid, or an edgy teenager at most, because I didn’t understand how a grown man keeps constantly saying that PC looks better. We all know that, but he can’t help himself.Idk why you would come here completely unprompted to whine at everyone because of some past resentment? That said, no. Not all implementations of RT are equally impressive. Perhaps to you, on a technical level. But an open world game where you climb and jump around buildings from all sorts of angles it is certainly more visually striking than most other games. Most of the rt effects on something like ghostrunner are barely noticeable because most lighting is prebaked already
I think I had my first "NEXT GEN WOW" moment watching this.
The reflections of the streets in the windows plus how the sunlight falls in looks crazy amazing.
I am tempted to jump ship over to team Sony again.

I don't know if Controls Raytracing looks better than what's in Spiderman. But Spiderman is doing a great job with the reflections. It'd impressive how many surfaces it's available on.
It's a higher resolution in Control. But application here looks better.

In Spiderman it's literally everywhere except really rough surfaces.
