There was a boss? o_O

Are you guys just talking about Harbinger (Collector General dude with possession tactics) or whatever he's called?
Sniper rifle and Warp.
naw, Harbingers are headshot bait. Sniper rifles lay them down with the utmost quickness.

We were talking about the big armored bullet sponge... you'll know him when you see him.

Any class was cheap in the first game if you knew how.

Are infiltrators still good?
They're good, but you figure out really quickly that you have to maneuver your squad to take the majority of the fire while you move around picking off people with cloaked widow headshots. It was much easier to play with an infiltrator than a vanguard...

I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out this AA shit with Steam and my ATI card. What is really pissing me off is this guy posted on IGN forums saying he knows how to make it work but can't post it and asked if people needed to know the way, to PM him. I am not an IGN insider nor do I want to be, but I'm considering signing up just to be able to PM this dude since I am running out of options.

The worst part is that the main reason I got it on PC is EXACTLY because I wanted AA. I beat ME1 on 360 when it came out, and did an entire second playthrough to get a save file on PC so that I wasn't missing out on character importing. I should have bought the retail copy of ME2 and not the Steam one. Fuck.

I'm going to try defragging my HDD. I hope it helps. I can't see why there's some of us on PC having loads of 10 secs and less, while the rest are taking up to a minute. Something is going on to cause such a discrepancy.

I'm on Steam. Lets see who has what version, and what length of load times you're experiencing.

I'm loving this game, but it's killing my enjoyment.

:D glad I can choose Insanity right from my first playthrough
I couldn't handle it. I feel like a little beeyotch. Maybe I'll try again, when I'm not playing as my Engineer.

People have said that you rename the exe to UT3.exe, then it'll work in CCC.

Now that just kicks ass.
Finally going to see the Migrant Fleet with Tali
:D

I have the Steam version and it takes less than a second loading between ship decks and under 20 or less for other things. If it's my first time landing on some planet, probably take less than a minute. Never really counted, but it doesn't seem long at all.

I do still get tiny weird graphic glitches like my teammates sliding and once saw a asari's arm bending backwards during conversation :lol ,

You can't do this with the Steam version. Not unless you have a second MassEffect2.exe that didn't come from Steam to plop into the Steam folder and change, which would defeat the purpose since I'd have to purchase a separate copy of it.

Question:
In the part where you're controlling Joker, after the Collectors invade your ship... what do you do to not get murdered while you're going up the stairs in the Engineering area. I keep going up the stairs but I just get killed. Help.

Wait for them to pass, EDI will give you the heads up when too.

Rather stupid question, so please for give me if this has already been asked. When you purchase books/magazines does the game actually place them in the captains cabin? All I really noticed was the addition to several lengthy segments in my space encyclopedia.

Massive spoilers here of course.

Look up, wait until the collectors pass OR until EDI gives you the go ahead.

Then what the hell do you do if you have an ATI card and the Steam version?

Is anyone else crashing frequently on the 360 version?

I have a feeling that it's my console. Fuuuuck.

I have a brand new console and it freezes too. ME2 is quite buggy. Just now I had to go back to the Dashboard twice before the 'Resume' or 'Load Game' options became available.

A few comments/questions:

- Soundtrack...uh...what happened here?

- Galaxy map went from wonderful elegance to silly. Seriously, I have to fly around a tiny version of my ship? Really?

- Can I remove the heads at the bottom of the screen? It was fun putting them on my butt cheeks and making them into my gonads, but play time is over. I want them off the screen.

- Horrible vein effects. Simply horrid.

- Why can't I take off my helmet? Are you telling me that I have to go back to the freaking Normandy to remove my helmet?

- Aliasing can be pretty bad in this game.

- Sad to see loot and RPG elements go.

I'm enjoying the game so far (just got to Omega), but I can't help but feel a little disappointed with some of the decisions BioWare made with this one.

Gotta say that all the DLC armor is tacky as hell. The Collectors one looks like Shephard is covered in shit.

The Terminus armor is pretty cool, but the fact that the helmet doesn't come off kinda kills it for me (Applies to all the DLC armor). I like seeing my char's face during cinemas and conversations. So I just stuck with the N7 armor which can be customized.

The game rocks, especially probing planets, but maybe that's just me. :lol

There we go.

The character customization sucks, plain and simple. So instead of fixing their crappy inventory handling, BioWare removed inventory altogether (and loot and RPG elements) and made it so I can't remove my helmet unless I'm aboard the Normandy. Brilliant.

Is the music at least in the same style as Mass Effect 1?

EDIT: Wait its not like in ME1 where the game would auto equip helmets in non-breathable environments and leave them off in normal environments?

Ugh, I'm started to get frustrated with this

I pre-ordered ME2 on Steam, used the Cerberus Network key when I booted up the game, and downloaded the Crash Site and Zaeed exes from Bioware's site. I can't seem to find, however, the Inferno armor.

When I go to Shepard's locker, there's no options under armor type to change armor, which means I don't have any. I've already finished one planet.

How the hell do I get my armor?

Why did they switch around the spacebar/pausing and shift/running default mapping? I know I can customize it back (which I did), but it's still weird to change the default controls from the first game.

You know, I'm kind of glad now that I'm waiting to pick this game up until I finish Dragon Age. I plan on picking it up this weekend, so hopefully all this Cereberus Network, armor glitch stuff is sorted out by then.

Also in regards to the crashing, its this happening to a lot of people? I remember my first 360 would crash all the time while playing ME1 and, well, a lot of games, but ever since I got my replacement after it RROD I've never had a game crash yet.

Go to your Bioware page, click redeem code, Type in your 'Preorder Code' or something like that (Right click on game in steam list, Display CD keys), Download file, install, and finally swap out at any place you can edit your armor.

EDIT: Never mind it seems.

I just deleted 115 gigs off of my computer, a lot of which is directly from Steam.

We'll see how the load times are now.
Most of that was porn, don't blame Steam.

I have yet to hear anything memorable. As a HUGE fan of ME1's soundtrack, ME2's is disappointing thus far.
The tracks "The End Run" and "Suicide Mission" I thought were pretty awesome. But I think they only play at the end so you'll have to wait until then.

How do I know I have Normandy Crash Site? it's downloaded, but it's not in my Journal.

Is it that I'm not far enough into the game?
