Are there any benefits in this version to have played ME2 or even ME1 in terms of your character at the start of the game?

Yea, I know the ending too. I should just spoil it for everyone here to get a good laugh out of it. ;P

Do it and this happens to you.

When do I unlock the gun in the Amalur demo? Do I have to beat it?
Get out of the first area, once the game tells you that you can explore for 40 minutes you can just let the game idle until the timer runs out. I think there are messages when 15 minutes remain and 5 minutes remain that pause the timer until you accept them, so just check it at those 2 times.
You need to have a really low resolution to make that work.

The real answer is greasemonkey. Hide YT comments - like this one.
or you could just cover up the area where comments appear with a piece of paper over your monitor

I think I may just play vanilla ME3 first then play a second time with my ME2 save. I didn't like how my ME2 ended but want to see the affects of it.

So apparently relationships with characters took a big leap for ME3. Mac Walters was saying that now, those characters you had a romantic relationship with, will basically acknowledge that throughout the game in more than one way like the typical "climactic" encounters before the final mission like in ME1 and ME2.

I’m sure I read somewhere on a not-so-helpful inspirational poster that “the only roads we should regret are the ones not taken”. To be honest, though, if I knew where every road would end ahead of time, I’d probably be tempted to take a detour every now and then. But at what cost? Just how much would I change to achieve a certain outcome in my life and relationships? That brings me to an even more common inspirational saying: “It’s not the destination—it’s the journey”.

For better or worse, I tend to agree with this last one. And more importantly, it perfectly expresses how I feel about Mass Effect 3…

The best way to enjoy the characters and relationships in Mass Effect 3 is by experiencing them.

It’s not about the destination or the outcome—it’s about the moments you share with these characters. Yes, of course, some of them can be romanced, but where’s the fun in knowing that ahead of time? I honestly think you’ll enjoy each of the characters more by not knowing.

And we’ve done a lot to make sure your journey with each of the characters in Mass Effect 3 will be the best one yet:

Memorable Moments: Conversations with characters in Mass Effect 3 are more than just opportunities to gain information; they’re designed to be unforgettable. I challenged each writer to make every moment memorable. The moments didn’t have to be long, and they didn’t require a lot of words, but they had to mean something—to the character, to Shepard, and hopefully to you. One practical way we did this was to make sure there were no fixed locations for these moments. They could literally happen anywhere. And preferably in a place that meant something to the characters involved.

Dynamic Interactions: Now, more than ever, the relationships in Mass Effect evolve naturally. Characters react to your choices and actions, including, of course, romantic ones. We give you the opportunity to make every interaction mean something in the long term. It’s not simply about completing a conversation to get on to the next one; it’s about how you interact during each conversation. And it’s about each choice you make to evolve that relationship.

Personal Relationships: In the past, you often became “closer” to the characters of Mass Effect simply through the exchange of information. That discussion could be about almost anything, but one topic was was rarely discussed outside of a final climactic encounter: Shepard’s relationship to that character. In Mass Effect 3, one of the topics that will come up—for those who are looking for it—is Shepard’s personal relationship with those closest to the commander. For some characters in Mass Effect 3, it’s been an emotional roller coaster ride with Shepard, and they’ve got something to say about that.

These are just some of things we’ve done to ensure you’ll enjoy the relationships and characters of Mass Effect 3 more by experiencing them, not simply playing them. And for those of you who still desperately want that Roadmap to Love and Happiness™, you’ll soon be able to piece it all together from the details on the forums.

I have a terrible memory and have trouble remembering a lot of what happened in both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. I definitely want to play through both games another time, but will not be able to before the third in the series comes out.

Will Mass Effect 3 have any sort of "previously on Mass Effect" recap?

Or is there anything on the internet that could help me remember what happened?

Hope it's true, but I'll take what they're saying with a grain of salt.

Damn that sounds exciting.

I'm optimistic but they pretty much always say this kind of thing for all of their games. Jack was supposed to be their best character ever and The DA Awakening conversation with teammates was supposed to be deeper than the one in DAO according to them.

Creepy Liara was hitting on my Shephard throughout ME2. I hope she doesn't interpret that as we're already in a relationship on ME3.

Which is why I'm hoping for the best and preparing for the "worst"...by worst I mean to be significantly disappointed by the conversations and "moments" not living up to the hype.

Keep your hype realistic at least...don't put ME3 on a god-tier level of which no games can reach. ME is my favorite franchise this gen and I haven't been disappointed yet simply because I've kept my expectations real.

What did Bioware end up doing about the call for guy-guy relationships anyway?

I seem to recall people calling them hypocrites.....

Vega's pecs had kryptogay infused in the muscle tissue. Shepard's exposure to the kryptogay turned him bisexual for Mass Effect 3.

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?

I don't know. All I know is that both of my male Shepards were single and unattached at the end of ME2. My female Shephard got it on with sweet Garrus.
