Thanks for the feedback.
I think a lot of fans just want something that's not offensively bad.
Also I'm more than open to them picking up the INDOCTRINATIONLOL ball and running with it.
Yeah I see it now. Don't have facebook but you can still see their page.
Bowdz, to me it sounds like they are leaning towards it but just haven't pulled the trigger on an announcement yet and have to iron out some details. What you described sounds evil... I don't think they'd do that.
OMG! Maybe the Reapers killed off the dinosaurs!
@Zeal Thanks for your speculation. Can't confirm anything now. Keep sending us your feedback. All this twitter shit basically confirms, at least in my mind, that they are going to change the ending in a big way. They are actually scared and nervous for once.
When it happens, this will be recorded in the history of gaming as one of the biggest fan victories and turnarounds ever, influencing pretty much how everything is handled in the future.
I wonder what she honestly thinks of the ending.Jessica is friends with whats-her-face, the chick who did the Renegade FemShep cosplay, as well as being an active cosplayer herself. As the two got chummy with BioWare due to their cosplay work, BioWare offered her a job as their community manager.
From what I can gather she seems quite nice and a big fan of the games, as well as an active member of the community. I doubt she realised what she was signing up for though, and given she isn't a developer, she's probably copped way more shit than she really deserves.
But, that's her job. Hearing feedback. And feedback she got.

But really, does anyone expect them to find/use a solution that plugs all the plot holes?
Inevitably some wounds will be left open and some nut on BioWare Social will declare DEFCON 5 on that shit.
The only downside I can see to that, is big developers being afraid to do avant-garde stuff.
By all means do it, just know when (and in Mac Walters case, how) to do it appropriately.
Watch the new ending turn out even shittier. Maybe the whole thing was a dream, or it was just some bullshit story created by a senile old man to get the attention of his grandson.

You know, I probably dislike the ending as much as everyone else, but some people are being downright pricks about this.
Participate in/make polls, send an email or a letter to Bioware, join a petition forum/FB group, post why you didn't like the ending on their forums; great, cool, awesome. However, some people are pulling out all stops trying to be as big of a douchebag to anyone and anything Bioware related that it's really just embarrassing.
I'm not talking about this thread, as it has been civil in here, but on the community forums, and some of the Facebook posts, and so on, people are behaving in a rather disgusting manner. It. Is. Just. A. Game. Some of the behavior does absolutely no good for our case, and if anything, makes it easier for Bioware and EA to write the collective "We want a new ending" group off as a fringe group that takes video games wayyyy too seriously.
Nah, if they change it they're going to play it as safe as possible.
People are making my head hurt.
The ending sucks? So? It's a damn videogame! You want well thought competent endings? READ A BOOK!
I don't think the vast majority of videogame writers have it in them to weave 30 hour stories around an interactive player controlled narrative. You can't have consistent flow when the player makes the choices on where to go and when.
That's not to say their ending is passable. It seems really sloppy. On the record I don't have the game, but have seen the three endings. They suck... but I never really expected more from Bioware. The pinnacle of your choices boiled down into sacrifice, join, and control.
Not the way I'd have done it, but at least they tried to give you the illusion of choice. A mainstay of the series.

I bolded the part of your post that's relevant. I'm assuming you didn't play the other Mass Effects either or maybe one. You don't get it... you don't have any attachment to the characters, the places, the entire ME universe. You can't understand.People are making my head hurt.

Hah!It's a game, just relax.

Very compelling case.People are making my head hurt.

Tumblr community always does this extreme contrast thingy on pics but I thought this one was rather nice/well-done. In memory of some of the best parts of ME3:

Monkey has probably played through ME2 more times than you can dream.
Kaiden and best anything doesn't compute but yea, that's pretty cool.
Actually, it's a good a thing. He will have no expectations, and he would have already gone through the most damaging part of the game without any damage. Then he should get started on 3. If he played ME2 that much why ruin the ending to 3 since he's obv a big fan. How could you do that to yourself Monkey...
But he's a wino . . .Your opinion is invalid. Kaidan is better than alien botox cum space racist Ashley.

"it's just a game! RELAX!" Is only a valid argument against the psyco's that are personally harassing people that are connected to/involved in making the game.
Making posts on a message board explaining why you are not happy with something in a game? A perfectly reasonable response.
Also "it's a game so story should suck" doesn't really hold weight either. The most popular books/tv shows/movies of the day (Twilight/2.5men/transformers as examples) often have writing that is significantly worse than the first 95% of ME3.

If it does happen the precedent it sets could be the worse thing ever though. I don't think people who feel the ending needs to change in this case are entitled, but man will it fuel the fire for complaints about every single poor choice a developer makes for probably the next 10 years.
I can't be the only person who thought the ending of Fight Club sucked. And like Fight Club, the ending does not spoil the awesomeness of Mass Effect.

If I ever replay ME3 I'm making sure both are dead before the end. Like two gigantic turds in the middle of great characters.
Ashley is shit because she's just a terrible person.
Kaiden is shit because he's a fucking vacuum of personality. If ME were a coop series, Kaiden is Player 2.
Kaiden is much worse.
