My rig destroys the "highest tested specs", so I really want a demo or benchmark of this game. If it supports Crossfire for real (not terribly like Arkham City) I should be able to get 150+ fps at 1440p. That's a big if, however.

No one knows exactly when it comes to the max settings. All we have is that one benchmark, and all we know is that it's on "high settings with fxaa" Who knows how well any of the DX11 stuff will be optimized, and my guess is high is the second best setting. I certainly wouldn't upgrade anything till you've tested it on your current set up. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes more than one 670 to completely max it and lock it at 60 though, just as a way to sell more cards.

The game isnt going to use more than 8GB RAM...call me a prophet but unless it loads the whole game at once then 8GB is more than enough RAM.

If a 670 cant run this game at a res as low as 1080 with 60fps id be shocked.
Im expecting 2560 x 1600 to be the point when a 670 - 680 would start suffer.

Right now i believe Max Payne 3 is gonna perform at about the same level as Crysis 2 DX11.
So a 670 should be able to get very close to 60 average if not more.
If Rockstar have optimized the DX11 better than id imagine it would even perform better than Crysis 2 DX11.

A second 670 would guarantee above 60fps.

Nope, I don't think so.
GPU is old, But game will run fine, you will have to play with settings. (Depends on CPU heavily anyway, RAGE ENGINE)

Probably because they changed it. So people who pre-ordered earlier got both MP games and also got the recent L.A Noire addition.

So if you pre-order now it doesn't seem like you get the MP games.

The Max Payne 1 & 2 offer was only valid till the 15th May (if I remember correctly). Now they appear to be offering LA Noire with Max Payne 3.

My machine is going to destroy this game. Bring it. I rented the 360 version just to get a taste and it's so good.

1080p + 60fps + 3D Vision = one of the best experiences of the year if the console version is anything to go by. The way they are talking about the textures, seems like they could eat up a good amount of VRAM too. 3GB GPU cards ready what up R*
