Labour source at South Thanet count reckons ukip third, with Tory/labour fighting it out for win. #GE2015

Ben Riley-Smith ✔@benrileysmith
Senior Scottish Labour source tells @Telegraph: "We are in contention in a lot more seats than the BBC exit poll shows."

The second tweet tallies up with what I've been told. Labour up here still expecting 10-15 seats.

Oh man, the Spectator live blog room:

It has everything I love - wood-panelled walls, old-world charm and gorgeous posh totty.

It annoys me that people are so pent up on blaming Lib Dems for the coalition that they forget it was the Conservatives who were responsible for most of these policies that they hate. Urgh..

Hear that ballot boxes only recently arrived at @edballsmp count so rumour re losing his seat seems to be just that - a rumour

Posh totty is fine until you realise you can't get rid of it.

The people who blame the Lib Dems for that already hate the Tories so it doesn't make a difference.

Got retweeted by Louise Mensch for saying I agreed with her that the exit poll is wrong. Been retweeted loads because of that!

Was surprised that a tory was saying it was likely incorrect!

Ah posh totty, rp and lots of daddy issues.

As Scouting for Girls once said in their unsuccessful second album, "They go like the clappers". My first girlfriend was from a private school and something like 200th in line to the throne. Never met anyone who loved getting fingered as much as that girl.

Anyway...

It was me and @DPJHodges in that ditch by the end. I'm sorry to find myself still in it.

lol. My favourite Blairites are having a love-in.

Also apparantly Tories confident they've got Thanet - I think we can ALL agree that's a good thing.

Channel 4 are doing some decent funny stuff - at least when Googlebox is not on

The bits when they're not trying to be too funny and are more unscripted is really good. Paxman's flourishing after the awkward start.

Also for fans of classic Newsnight, a Paxman / Paul Mason reunion!

But then shouldn't they have swung to Labour or Greens? Looks like they've moved to Conservative or UKIP? Doesn't make sense.

Sod it, gonna go watch Point Break to cheer myself up (nothing like a bit of keanu and Swayze to chase the blues away) - hopefully its all wrong and Labour win and i can be happy again.

I think the story is more they don't want Ed, Tories were there for the taking, but a weak leader cost 'em.

I agree he (Milliband) is weak, but how can anyone not want to just punch Camerons face every time it appears? He is a complete and utter joke.

On a personal note, as I voted SNP, at least the SNP would try to work with Labour to progress politics. Big Ed might have been trying to play the hard man and say no, but it would have happened in some way. The majority of Scotland hate the torries and so does the SNP. For everyone who didn't want us going independent, I'm pretty sure voting in Cameron is just going to accelerate the process.

I know someone at work who is a staunch Conservative voter, and he's completely broke. Like, been in the pay-day loan cycle for years kind of broke.

I don't get it.
