But then shouldn't they have swung to Labour or Greens? Looks like they've moved to Conservative or UKIP? Doesn't make sense.

A lot of Lib Dem voters tend to be young so I wouldn't be surprised if a fair few just didn't vote after last time.

Once again, the Tory loss is way smaller than the UKIP gain.

Turnout's pretty shit, too, so it's not like they're a load of new voters, unless a load of Lib Dems all stayed at home which I guess they must have - it's not like many will have moved from Lib to UKIP.

Sunderland central with 18k between Conservative and UKIP, kinda worrying. I wonder if England may have shifted further right. Seems like UKIP is picking up some big swings here...

Watching BBC World News in the US... jeez I hope you people actually in the UK have better coverage than this, this is pretty dreadful to watch haha.

Thinking about the results of the exit poll I can't actually say it is surprising. It is only surprising because of the previous polls done, but actually think about it.

Conservative and labours stay mostly the same, both gaining seats from lib dems.
However labour losing the majority of Scotland to the SNP which makes sense, meaning they lose seats overall and is a reasonable prediction.

it's funny that as I was growing up, the Lib dems were the only 3rd party choice. Every election they seemed to be getting bigger, and people started thinking it wasn't just a wasted vote. In 1 election they have completely destroyed 20 years of progress. Amazing.

Blergh. Need to relax away from all this stressful shit and not think about the future for a bit.

Maybe I should actually play a game for once instead of staying on NeoGAF all the time. XD

Gotta say though, this is the first time I've spent an election with GAF, and it's been a really good experience. Way more entertaining than any of the tv coverage. :p

I'd REALLY take the UKIP votes in Sunderland with a pinch of salt, as it's very likely they've gained BNP voters rather than anywhere else.

I agree he (Milliband) is weak, but how can anyone not want to just punch Camerons face every time it appears? He is a complete and utter joke.

.

That's just politicians in general, they are all punchable ;)

But i will, and did vote for Cameron over Miliband and Balls everyday of the week with stronger leadership, i'd have more of a choice, Labour get in in my area anyway.
