Fuck this shit...

if the Scots go independent, I want us northerners a choice as well. Not another 5 years of being ignored by the southern Lannister's.

Uh, wasn't that the GE five years ago?

Oopsie, sorry, I meant last GE.

And yup, Federalism needs to rocket up the priority list. A tricky thing to do especially with whatever working numbers the Tories end up with but if Cam can succeed I think he'll cement his (positive) position in Tory history books.

What did he say?

I mean, it's hard to portray how it was rude over text, but he was basically grilling her in an extremely condescending way: "You are the best the Greens have to offer?" *look of disgust*

I mean, I know it's his thing to grill politicians, but it seemed uncalled for in the context.

Apparently Simon Hughes has conceded. This is absolutely brutal, 10 might be considered *ambitious* at this stage. Incredible.

BBC reporter saying the issue might be Labour's campaign was too Left-wing, but I'm struggling to think how "left" you can consider it. Abolishing non-doms was the most "extreme" thing in it. Many of their policies you could say were from the Conservative party and you'd believe it.
labour lost scotland to an anti-austerity party. how it can be even considered their campaign was lost on being too left wing is beyond me

It's going to be a Tory majority. That Nuneaton result pretty much seals it.

Lib Dem voters decided that they like being Tories seems to be the theme of the night.

it's precarious but IMO this is an amazing opportunity to sort out a problem that's existed for some time but has been ignored since devolution. It's come to a head, but this was the only way it was ever gonna get solved.

Nuneaton hold for Tories, Lib Dems get LESS THAN A THOUSAND.

dead.

NUNEATON:

Labour needed a 2.3% swing to gain

Labour: 15,945
Lib Dem: 816
Tory: 20,827
Green: 1281
English Democrats: 104
TUSC: 194
UKIP: 6582

Conservatives with a 4882 majority.

yep, labour have been a sad joke since 2010

and of course losing today will only convince them that they'll need to be more right wing

this country is well and truly fucked. bail out while you can tbh.
