There are two separate issues here.
1. Vince has a very specific idea of what will work and get over. We already know that though.
2. That idea sounds awful.
Probably furious. But he probably doesn't care anymore because the other Bella ended up with Cena.

I figure today we'll skip ahead to something more recent. When I started watching wrestling again back in 2012, I was somewhat surprised to see Kane was still going, even had his mask and everything, and he was in this TERRIBLE angle with Zack Ryder and John Cena feuding over the heart of Eve Torres, trying to get Cena to embrace the hate or some shit.
This segment from the go home show before Elimination Chamber 2012 is terrible. But ends in the most hilarious fashion with Kane waddling out and pushing a wheelchair bound Zack Ryder off the stage.
Shoutout to the little girl on the fan cam.
This feud ended with Zack Ryder releasing a single called "Hoeski" and John Cena beating Kane in an ambulance match! Good times!
Just remember, the wheel keeps spinning on the 19 Days of Kane.

I don't think his character is a shot at Mauro, I think the segment was used to have a shot at Mauro though.
While I don't want Matt to just go back to vanilla Matt Hardy, I think it'd be really cool for Aiden to join Team BROKEN.
Jeff is talented enough in the ring that he can easily survive in a singles push.
And while Matt can stay over with the Broken gimmick, giving him a partner (And one like Aiden who could make the most use out of it) makes perfect sense.

The thread during that Kane/Cena/Ryder madness was absolutely classic, the ambulance scene, the pan to the wheelchair, the stage diving finale, a perfect example of a so bad it's good episode of Raw.
To think that the embrace the hate angle was originally the thing to set heel Cena in motion before they got cold feet, Kane got screwed!
