SOMEONE please pm me telling me how this would work.

there are a lot of people out there that must know something.

so, jesus comes back to life and then what?

comes back to life. exits the cave. goes to heaven/paradise and learns, and the comes back to earth in the far future?

or. ok i did my own research.]
there was another movie done that was basically the sequel.

man investigates claims about a man that was crucified (jesus) and came back to life. a non believer that becomes a believer somehow through investigating.

Can't believe this took four pages.

Dear investors:

The time has come for another tentpole in the Abramhamic cinematic universe. For too long, 20th Century Fox has shepherding the IP of these iconic characters without moving forward. Considering their worldwide appeal we feel bullish about their brand recognition and passionate, committed fanbase.

With sexy casting and clever product tie-ins, shareholders can be confident the 'God silo' could sustain profitable releases well into the next decade.

J2: Judgement Day

Starring: Ahnuld Schwarzenegger as Jesus Christ.

"Come with me if you want to rapture."

Tutum tum tutum, tutum tum tutum!

I'd be interested if this if there's no gore porn element. The resurrection aspect is one of the things that doesn't tend to be touched upon very much, it's almost always the torture, the killing and then boom, he's up and gone.

Let's see some detail about his resurrection, how it impacts the world on a local scale as news spreads and we see the birth of that religion. Could be a great drama.

I didn't ever watch PotC, this thread inspired me to take a closer look....

Damn, Mel's version of Satan is probably the creepiest I've ever seen. The scene where he/she/it is moving through the crowd with the baby stroking his/her/its face, and then the baby turns around...

Real nightmare fuel.

I love how they made Satan appear androgynous. A female actor with a male voice dubbed over. Beautiful and horrifying at once.

Brilliant design/implementation.

Satan scene was by far the best part of that entire movie. Not sure about best depiction, I still have a soft for Al Pacino in Devil's Advocate.

Ayyyy

One of the few guys in business where I choose to separate his personality from his works because of how talented he is. Looking forward to whatever he directs and I enjoyed his actor career as well.

It seems like a natural project for him. He lost a lot of influence and good will after his public meltdown, but the first film was successful and I can't imagine he would have trouble finding funding for a sequel. Investors can throw several million his way and be almost guaranteed to double their money; like the first it would probably be low budget and earn around 1000% in returns.

And there is a story to tell there. From political intrigue to just plain Christian mythology.

Sounds interesting. The Passion of the Christ was a beautifully made film.

Thats either going to be a really short movie or have tons of filler.
Not really. There are about 6 chapters in the New Testament that talk about Christ after the resurrection. And then there is the material leading up to it. I forgot if in The Passion Christ's burial was covered extensively. It's close to the same amount of material as for the crucifixion itself. There'd probably have to be flashbacks and stuff like in the first film.

http://www.highlandpc.com/studies/fojc/rezafter.php -- A good overview of the sequence of events. Plenty to cover. Women would be a huge part of the film.

Back for some of that easy faith based box office.

Maybe Jesus comes back to prove some uppity philosopher asshole wrong about his heracey.

Maybe it will be about Jesus telling everyone about how real "in that rapper way" heaven is.

The resurrection is a pretty emotional story for Christians so I could see him do a weep-porn film for three hours.

I like Mel. Despite him being an asshole, bigot and racist. I mean, he's like one of my asshole bigoted uncles.
