Sickness and fighting with trouble makers are usually the culprits.

I think when you send them on missions.

Also, how do I get rid of troublemakers?

Would also like to know this. Everytime someone leaves the brig or the sickbay, there's somebody starting a fight. Worst thing is you can't dismiss people held in the brig.

This member of staff was part of R&D team. My staff has 0 troublemakers or people with bad hygiene. He just got dedded and now I lost big specialist bonus, FFS!

Select staff member => select assignment => dismiss, that gets rid of staff member.

So I've been playing around 40 hours now and thought I'd finished it. Or well, "finished" it like how you finish PW then get the proper ending. But noooooope. After the credits and rewards "Coming in Chapter 2".

Welp.

I have to say though, I feel like a damn fool for watching the trailers for this game. Pretty much every single cutscene is in those trailers.

I think they can die from pretty much random things too. I had one die before I unlocked the combat platform.

Troublemakers can be fired. Go into staff management, select them and redeploy them, there is a 'dismiss' option.

But how can you tell that someone is being a shithead?

I am not on my PS4 right now, how do I find them the best ?

Mission 11 spoilers

Should I just shoot Quiet until she dies or do I need to tranq her? She went into water to do... something once she had low health and I could've taken her down but I hesitated, thinking maybe I should try to tranq her so she spotted me and got away.

I'm with you, I probably shouldn't have watched all the trailers like the day before the game came out.

You can shoot her, yeah. You'll get the option to kill or recruit her after you deplete her life/stamina bar.

What the... What causes staff members to just die? I have no troublemakers and such in my staff and one specialist just died because "Fatally wounded". Best part is game auto saved right after that little event.

Was the specialist Malak, by any chance?

Welp just got the dog cutscene so i pretty much beat the game right? I'm sure the mission was to go to afghanistan to rescue the dog.

I have to be sure. Do all radios in the game contain a tape of music? Because some of the radio players don't let me pick up anything.

There gotta be some cutscenes in there we haven't seen clips of before.

I think it's 100 on PC. And 10 on PS3/360?

Oh duh!!!!

I picked up the suitcase that was hidden behind the stones. But on my way out of the cave I see I have a rocket launcher on my back, which confused me, so I went back to exchange it for my sniper rifle, and then I headed back to the helicopter. Thought I had accidentally picked up a rocket launcher from some soldier. Hahahahaha, I gotta go lye dow.

Not to take enjoyment from your pain but your post had me laughing hard, go get some much deserved rest diamond dog.

It might be story-related or something, cause apparently Malak has died in pretty much everyone's game.

Good news is, you can just redo mission 10 and get him again. Even better, you can do mission 10 in a couple of minutes fairly easily, especially if you can fulton vehicles.

Ok I need to take a break from this game, the most frustrating thing just happened to me ever in a videogame.

Big mission 12 spoilers:
I got Emmerich out of the lab, did everything perfectly stealthed all the way from the power plant to the base. It CLEARLY said lose the Metal Gear so you can escape in the chopper. So I just started riding on my horse, and it eventually said warning: leaving the mission area. I quickly tried to turn around but it was to late. So I thought maybe I just failed and I get a checkpoint, nope. Completely abandoned it, I started it up again from the menu and right back in the power plant.
Fuck this shit.

I used the horse to get away. Essentially just call the chopper in and go where it lands.

I hope there are more suits, so far I think I have all suits that were shown in trailers. I love the dicksuit though.

I hate the wait it makes his legs look. He looks like he stuffed a holiday ham in each leg.

K, finished Mission 31 and at this point have got a few questions plot wise

If anything is still to come up later, or I've misunderstood or missed something then just let me know.

SPOILER QUESTIONS FOR BEYOND MISSION 31
...
1) Mostly unresolved, but you'll get a few interesting tapes on this one.
2) Keep playing ;)
3) XOF, that is, Skullface. Tapes go into this in detail.
4) Keep playing ;)
5) Keep playing ;)
6) You could say this about much of the story. Very disappointing, really.
7) Pretty sure everything is on tape, but sitting down and trying and making sense of baddies' motivations in Metal Gear may be a road that leads nowhere.

I love this game, but man, some things are far from finished. I'd give Hideo 3 more years with it if I could.

And shit, is he a master at making frustrating "boss" fights or what?

Sooooo does it sometimes hang on "Installing game data... Do not turn off the system. 507 seconds"? (PS4)

I can't tell if I'm just impatient or if it's frozen D:

If I have to play through the hospital part again I'll probably just return it lol.

if he network can't work now, imagine mgo

I found them pretty easy, to be honest. Specially the
Metal Gear
one, as cool as it was. Not bragging of anything, it all comes down to the tactic and the weapons you use (and in this one you don't really need to spend much time unlocking upgrades to already pack some decent firepower, really).

It's an issue with most games that afford this amount of choice in your playstyle, but an issue I'd really wish for more games to have.

God's had his chance.
Oh god i'm loving this game so much. It's every daydream of MGS i ever had after playing 2 and more. I haven't hit a point of diminishing returns with either the side ops or main missions ops. Getting around the big open world doesn't feel tedious. In fact quite the opposite. I'm so engrossed and enthralled with everything around me. The dynamic world itself is a joy to just traverse. Coming up on a base, scoping it's residents, finding the decent soldiers, tranqs/cqc/balloons galore and then a small firefight to liven things up! On your way out fulton a zebra because why not?

I'm over the mean pleased right now. One quick tip that i'm sure has been said/repeated a thousand times but i'm just now coming up for air - while sniping if you drop first person and reload from the third person camera it cuts your reload on Bolt action rifles in half easily. It's so fun hopping positions and getting 3 or 4 rounds off at each spot in less than 6 seconds on an outpost. People don't know WHAT the hell is going on!

and now - two questions!!!

one about quiet and her use on the battlefield -
How do you tell her to scout out bases and such for you? She will automatically go into overwatch like I expect and the "take aim" and "Kill" commands are as seen on tv but I cannot for the life of me get her to organize a little more. She will often times take up a sniping position around my dropoff point and then stay there until I get an alert at which time she comes running in to save the day. Sometimes she will follow me and take up a spot near the base i actually want to attack but at this point i don't know how to tell her to just mark fucking everyone she sees. Is it automatic like DD? If i give her the "Kill" command does she stay on murder mode until i tell her to stop? Does the "Talk 'quiet'" command do anything beyond maker her start/stop humming? Halp.

And one about mother base and what to do while there -
As in is there fucking anything to do there? I drop off frequently as not to miss anything special going on at home while i'm out killing (and to shower obvs) but I can't find an interior room to save my life, Ocelot is a rare sighting and i've never seen any of the fighting or random soldiery stuff you guys keep referencing happen. Is it because i'm not visiting the other facilities enough? I usually drop into the main command strut and then the med bay tower to check on Quiet (is there anything else there??)
So the question... where/what/who??? How do you consistently find Ocelot? Kaz? Emmerich? It's super fun watching it grow but it's a little more hands off than i was expecting. And where is the fucking shooting range???!!

can't wait for work to be over.

What do I need to do to obtain this? Or I guess is there a specific mission I have to do for it?

I took her down with rockets and you still don't 'kill' her. I think you get the same scene either way. But in MGS4 you got a special ranking for no kills and using tranqs on bosses

Seeing all this negative feedback on the story stuff is making me want to spoiler the whole lot for myself just so I can get back to just enjoying the (awesome) gameplay. I'm just going to end up frustrating myself if I'm playing to get to the usual Kojima twists and mind fucks if it turns out there's no such thing in MGSV and everything really is just as it appears. The twist is... there's no twist? Played like a damn fiddle.
