Steam unlock timers are extremely unreliable. They default to 10 am pacific and publishers forget they have to set that to their particular unlock time.

we don't. 5am UK time is the last info we got.

That was a mistake by a Community Manager on twitter a while ago it seems. Fingers crossed it unlocks at 5am UK Time tomorrow, but we shall see. Steam countdown is still saying tomorrow evening for unlock.
Either way, I will be up at stupid oclock tomorrow morning to check!
Tora, please. It should've been 8AM EST/12AM 9/1 New Zealand Time. Not this 12AM EST/8AM 9/2 New Zealand time.
Ye, I don't understand why games don't just let you save anywhere, like in the TW3.

Does anybody else who has played the game find the intro credits for every mission extremely annoying? They spoil characters and even boss fights, i wish there was an option to disable them : /
I look away from the screen during the intro to not spoil me anything : /

I just came back to the UK after being in Germany for a couple of years, I think I would still find 6am awkward
To scratch the itch I've been replaying the story missions in Peace Walker using an old save... I stopped playing right after I finished the story...
I'm surprised how much new content I'm unlocking just by replaying those old missions! Even new story missions!!
I'll definitely continue playing this even after I start PP.

Saw someone else saying that the Ps4 unlocks in a couple of hours. Can anyone else confirm it? I'm holding my finger over the pre-order right now since I can't wait to collect my physical tomorrow, but it would be stupid to do if it unlocks later...

I dont mind the time really, it is a shame its not a game we can pre-load on Steam though. I would be hyped to get up super early to play this game, but Im not so excited to be up super early to check it Steam has unlocked it for download!
Still it will cool to have it download whilst Im at work and know i have it waiting. Fingers crossed its a good PC port.

If they had decided on that time already, why didn't they contact Valve about updating the timer.. Seems like such a simple thing to do that would make all of this way less confusing and they wouldn't need to answer this question over and over.

Yeah usually when you unlock a group of three you know those won't really have any significant story moment, after those you unlock one mission that advanced the story.
But each mission is something new, they take place in new bases and have changing objectives and many introduce new enemy types and concepts. It's super well paced in terms of gameplay. It's just really lacking story.
HBAO+ usually isn't a heavy hitter so you should be just fine.

I mean I can get up early its not a problem but to do it and then wait an hour or two to download is a bit of a pain. Then I would have to wait for my brother to decide to wake up and he's not exactly an early riser, its going to be a long night/morning...

Awesome news.
Sounds like it to me. Whenever I've had a GPU start to go bad, or with an unstable overclock, it's pretty much those exact symptoms. Be sure to clean your PS4 out if you haven't and obviously keep it well ventilated.

It is a chore, Ill say that. I am such a huge fan of everything Metal Gear. This game is not what I am used to exposition wise. Its just too thin. Im sorry.

Well, i understand it's a creative decision, sounds great on paper but it's stupid in practice. I spoiled 3 boss fights because of that.

I would advise against stepping down from your monitors native resolution at all costs.
stretching pixels is a no-no.
compressing them on the other hand, is boss.

When it says "Left Stick + ..." does it mean move it in a direction?
