Where does Shattered Space fits in all that :)))
Was going to play it, saw it was mid shit, so skipped.

It's basically the section of the roller coaster they closed off saying under repair but it'll never be fixed.

Hey we have the same rig. Game runs at 4K/60fps, looks very clean to me. Have fun!

You should go see a doctor. That's not normal.
Lmao yes it is. The older you get especially.

I can fall asleep on a plane, in a loud room, with lights on , etc. Even interesting movies shows or games are not subject to my passing out when I'm really tired.

This game is amazing but it is a slow drip in the first few hours as it layers on the mechanics and the story hits full throttle. It just doesn't take persona 3s 40 hours to get anywhere. Here maybe 3?

Coming off of Silent Hill 2 I have a feeling playing anything else new right off the bat is going to feel like a fucking drag lol

Yeah that game is through the stratosphere.

Saving grace for me is I did the metaphor demo so I know it's top shelf gaming as well.

If I had done sh2 without the demo for metaphor, then it would not be clicking out the gate due to the high bar SH2 sets right from the jump.

There sure is a lack of gameplay at the start of the game, should have done like P5 and at least show you the battle system right off the bat.

That said I don't have a problem with the prologue, I enjoyed the slow burn of reaching the city and finding out about it's denizens and lore. Even spent some extra time reading all the memorandum stuff.

Took out the Dragon in the Mines, didn't even attempt it in the demo thinking you're meant to come back later. You get a powerful sword for your troubles, good times 🥳

This was ultimately what made me purchase the game just now lmao. Finally a really long jrpg to get immersed into again and discuss with others what paths to take and what stuff to get and such :D. I'm glad I played the prologue, really helped to keep my expectations in check. Don't care too much about one way or another how well the story turns out now, as long as the gameplay is solid - and I have little worries in that regard.

Also, judging from the first couple of minutes in the retail steam version: I'm glad they patched it up a bit in comparison to the Demo. Didn't expect that my toaster would actually be able to run it farily well (30ish fps), even with obs recording, so kudos on that front.

Gonna play two hours or so quickly now and then finally get into it tonight. Actually kinda looking forward to it.

The "digital anniversary edition upgrade" is $53 with tax. Why on earth would anyone pay that much for some PDFs and MP3s you can only use on your PS5?

According to Sports Illustrated, Summoner, Healer, and Merchant are the top tier archetypes.

In other news, Sports Illustrated wrote a guide for an Atlus JRPG. Then again these are the same people who had a retarded lady for their swimsuit issue cover model, so take it with a grain of salt.

Sports Illustrated is the site that got caught using AI generated articles written by AI generated authors. So, yeah, they are probably just farming the Internet for whatever is trending and generating content.

I could have sworn this was on Game Pass?

I just spent a 90mins on the train out of London planning my weekend around playing it.

Bollox.

TAA mod for PC/steam deck bros:

There are a few other fixes/suggestions in that link above.

Video of it in action:

Think I might get this earlier than anticipated since it seems to be working well on the deck with all these fixes/mods people are coming up with.

its incredible what fucking modders can do for free in a few days that devs cant with multi million dollar budget. Crazy how much better the game looks with it...

So I decided to start a fresh save instead of carrying over my demo save to the full game. One the main reasons being that apparently you can't go back to the first mines dungeon and fight the dragon if you decided to skip this battle/encounter during the prologue and I want that dope sword mentioned earlier in this OT by TheDarkPhantom.

This is starting to feel like Persona is cosplaying or in an alternate reality, especially after meeting a specific character.

Apparently, there was another version of the collector's edition that had more physical stuff.

Well, shit. Oh well. I wish they made that more clear.

I assume the one with more stuff was directly through Atlus.

You act as though there are millions of dollars sitting around unspent and they chose not to implement certain things despite having the resources. "Lazy devs" went out of fashion a long time ago.

Also, time is a resource.

There is 0 excuse for not having a decent AA in your AAA game nowadays, hell in any game. We are not in the PS3 era anymore but looks like Atlus stuck in there

I was not that impressed with the collector's edition when I got it. Part of the cardboard insert on the inside was torn.

I was expecting the artbook to be better quality. There was a little dent on a few of the pages from the printer.

I was also expecting the anniv. artbook to be a physical one, not a digital one.

Just briefly tried it out on the Steam Deck and it runs pretty well. Medium settings it runs at 45+ FPS, high settings at 30+ FPS. This was just running around town, will try some more later.

Ok stupid question: can you actually rest and recover your HP/MP at rest areas? Or are these just basically save points?

Not a stupid question

But no. You can't rest to recover HP and MP unfortunately.

Made a certain fight in the mines a bit tedious but I managed!

FYI . This is a play anywhere title. So if you buy it in Xbox you also can play the pc version and share a save between them.

They really should be in the OT post if it's not already.

Some jerkass tore the cardboard insert when making my collectors edition.

Not a big deal. It was not content or anything. It was still shitty. No need to get a new one. All the items were fine.

I will use some Elmer's glue.

Really enjoying this, but it looks and performs like a ps4 game even on ps5, id love to look under the hood and see what an absolute state this game engine is

Alright so the game is out, can anyone who played the PS5 demo and is actually unbiased tell me if the final code runs any better than the demo did on PS5?

Well this came in the mail today.
Everything is really nice. The cloth map is linen mix with something else, its a lil stiff.
Those pins have some weight to them. This package is just as nice as the Unicorn Overlord collection.
