You think FTC/Sony won day 1? Are you crazy? Day 2 has been nothing but nonsense to try and paint Nintendo as not capable console to show that putting COD on there is useless . As for what fill just said bout the competitivness it simply was are you more competitive in 1 country over another. Yes.

See? This is the problem you have to deal with in the internet. There's 0 fucking logic in the discussions, people are brainless and will put anything in your mouth then claim they "won" an argument. Where the fuck did I say FTC is winning?

I said

No wonder they're so sure MS is winning

And your answer suddenly insinuates I think FTC won

You think FTC/Sony won day 1? Are you crazy?

Please learn to fucking read.

Calling your opinion foolish is not name calling.

Microsoft did say that games would be on other consoles on a case-by-case basis if they have the audience for that. So far Indiana Jones is no on it, ES6 is almost definitely not on it, Starfield is not on it....are you claiming PS players don't like those games? Is there no audience?
Okay, thank you for clueless response.

A big part of that was Sony releasing a hard to develop for console at $100 more than competition.
It really wasn't because compared to the PS2, the PS3 was an easy 2 threaded 3.2GHz CPU and a high end Opengl es Nvidia gpu as Tim Sweeney was saying, but wrongly quoted for years as imply the SPU programming was easy.

WE saw the Microsoft shill handbook from a reddit link someone resurrected and saw Florian make those plays with accounts - and counting here. The PS3 gen was shill city, despite the 360s that didn't RRod being decent hardware

This hearing is making me sweat just listening to it.

I don’t think people realise just how frightening it is for executives to give evidence in court. You’re terrified of every answer you give because you’re worried of digging a hole for yourself. So you end up stuttering over the most basic questions.

It’s why they end up returning to mantras, like politicians.

Basically say as little as possible, repeat as much as possible.

Yeah Phil doesn't seem to remember what he has said in sworn testimony.

Oh, i'd be shitting myself, im not good in these situations but i also don't make millions. It's mandatory that you memorize/repeat what your deposition said, if you get caught saying otherwise it makes you look like a liar.

This stuff can cost them their jobs too, i guess it's the cost you pay for being the top 1% - you rep the megacorp

I agree with that, and if Sony had failed to rebound that would have been pretty much 100% on them. But they did, and they didn't need to foreclose on market options for Microsoft by buying 3P publishers to do it.

Microsoft apparently can't compete in a similar manner, and that should be under question. Thankfully, it is.

Not only that, it ended up being one of the closest, if not closest, console races in history. Followed by Microsoft completely derailing their momentum with some of the most boneheaded decisions that sit alongside Sega, Virtual Boy, and PS3. Causing them to close down a huge chunk of their first party and largely give up on deals. They almost closed Xbox down because they didn't want to bother sticking it out. Until Phil convinced them of some master plan. The struggles of Xbox today are a direct result of their own buffoonery. Their competitors shouldn't have to suffer for that.

I kinda wish CSPAN were broadcasting this. OTOH, I'd have to sit down at the television.

And the funny part is, that "master plan" might have given rise to another "master plan" that could end up costing them the biggest acquisition in gaming history.

But, we shall see how everything plays out.
