Yes, way after.
So this "Sony not giving them devkits (on time or at all) is probably holding back the RT patched version of Minecraft on modern consoles all round." doesn't make sense.
Well...there's a topic about jim ryan not giving the ps6 devkit if abk pass so...
I don't know about the rt version part...but about the dev kits could be true

aka both CMA and EU have dismissed the concern of full disclosure on MS's part, for whatever reason. I don't know why that needs this much clarification.

Are the EU/UK/US regulations the exact same across the board?
I would think that arguments and conclusions could vary with each, because the rules are not identical?

I love how Notch forced them to release Minecraft on all consoles while getting them to pay him $3 billion. Phil is such a novice.

I actually thought this was widely known for some time now? I don't recall where exactly I heard it but I've definitely known that was the case for a long time now:
Minecraft was an agreement with the original creator and those are only good points if you're part of a select group. Next.

MR SPENCER DO YOU REMEMBER A LITTLE MEETING IN FEBRUARY OF 2020 WHEN YOU PUT TWO SUGARS IN YOUR COFFEE???
...I have it with two sugars every time...
SO YOU DON'T REMEMBER THAT SPECIFIC CUP OF COFFEE WHERE MR BOOTY WAS ALSO IN THE ROOM WITH YOU????

I should have been a lawyer, it's just like a being a troll but you're also paid.
He is not suing FTC over coffee though. He has taken FTC to court because they accused him of buying shit for the purposes of making them exclusive. If he wants to refute that by saying I NEVER SAID MAKE STARFIELD EXCLUSIVE, he needs to remember those conversations.

If not, he needs to accept FTC's original decision and go home to get coffee with two cream and two sugar.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

No, of course the rules are not identical. I'm just using examples of similar regulatory bodies who have no doubt gone through the same gauntlet of documents and conversations to come to their concusion.

I think he also tried to duck whether it would release this generation.

Seems to me he basically just said it's a next generation game.

Phil already had his wet dream about ES6 releasing as an exclusive launch game for their next gen system, you can be sure of that.

You've already done it Phil. You've not provided a PS5 native version for Psychonauts 2 while there is a native Series X|S version.

This actually might work better than Minecraft in terms of proving how hypocritical Phil's answer is, TBH.

Launching first =/= Skipping a platform entirely

🤔

Can can be said for most of Sony's 3P exclusives, but apparently Phil Spencer thinks those are "skipping Xbox entirely".

Funny how that works.

Reasonably similar, in terms of underlying principle. EU and UK obviously share a huge amount of law.

The judicial approach in the US is very different; more litigious and confrontational.

Lot more fun though!
