Because I have sworn to defend my Queen, she is just reiterating Bobby's words.
My Qyueen shines brightly, but she is not that bright.

Is the prevailing thought by the nutjobs that whenever a company like MS doesn’t get what they want they can just threaten to remove their services from the country? And people are ok with this? Specially from the company that just bought a non profit meant for open source A.I company and turned that shit around and is now leading the shit show of full speed A.I no fucks given?
they are making the world a better place.

Oh... so this week is you in the "xbox/gamepass ambassador fanboy shit take semi-PR aquisition defense force" rotation bullshit...

But this one is awesome... let me see if I get it... so we should all want to have MS buying publishers that realeased games on all systems so we can them have to buy Their system to play the exactly same games we already would play on our previous system anyway ... and we should WANT that ...

Brother.. get out of that copium .. is melting your brain capacity to "fanboy" without sounding completely incoherent.

Just a reminder, in case your fanboy brain so conveniently forgot, MS has today the bigger number of gaming studio's, and it is by itself one of the biggest publishers of the industry, so NOTHING but its own fucking incompetence its stopping than of producing great games and making us want to buy their systems.

Dont even bother replying, had enough crazy talk with copium smoking ganboys in this thread, just going to ignore the crazys from now on , Now go play redfall and enjoy all the first party goods that xbox brings to the table after their aquisitions.
Put down the pipe fella.

The fucking meltdowns here are glorious. Top class fodder guys, keep it up.

MS can close the deal regardless of what the CMA say, and they wouldn't have to leave the UK, nor would they.
They would just not be able to operate GP the same way in the UK. It would have to be restructured.
The end result would be UK customers not getting what everyone else it getting.

That’s not how any of this works

You can’t acquire a company when you’ve been blocked by the regulators

Except the current deal requires the CMA to accept it. Right?

Cloud Gaming. CMA has made some flawed remarks. CAT has actually overturned CMA decisions before, like the Compare the Market Case.

Eh.....there will have to be a lot more than some "flawed remarks" here. Compare the Market wasn't even a merger or acquisition.

Does this mean darkmage and riky come back? Or is it still gonna be adamsapple holding the fort by himself?

I haven't been on the thread much because it's not that interesting to me personally if it happens or not, I'd like to get my Call Of Duty on Gamepass as it would save me £70 a year but apart from that I'm not really bothered.
The people with the most posts on this thread seem to be people who don't play on Xbox for some reason but then would love Xbox to "compete" or so they claim.

They can set up another company,.maybe called Activision UK, where it continues to operate as it did before. UK Xbox customers wouldn't get ABK games.in GP not on cloud.

Microsoft is prohibited from investing (or acquiring) in ABK in any way. ABK is prohibited from investing in Microsoft in any way. This is a corporate level ruling. It has nothing to do with cloud or Game Pass.

They don't address the monopoly MS will have on the cloud gaming operating system space. This move with tighten their grip on that space as these 'rival' (partners and clients of Microsoft) game services will presumably be forced to license Windows to stream PC versions of the game.

I can see from a very superficial view how the EC think they are helping consumers, because the end result (for 10 years) means they can play on any operating system they want. But within that 10 years the server side infrastructure for cloud gaming is largely controlled by Microsoft.

A true remedy in the public interest would have been to insist MS produce Linux versions of their games of equal standard that are made available to cloud gaming providers, this way the infrastructure side of the problem world be mitigated too.
Excellent points. And dumb EU regulators, as always. Treachery.

Are you one of the people that got the acquisition thread on Ree shut down because of your Copium take? Anyone suggesting this deal can go through without CMA regulation approval is on some strong Copium or hallucinogens. That’s not how any of this works or MS wouldn’t be trying to appeal the CMA decision in the first place.

Hey...still not completely on top of all this but uh...why does this matter. I thought it was over if one of the groups blocked it? CMA hasn't changed its mind so why does the EU approving it matter?

Why would they do that what's the point if you can't increase your value in your second largest market. Microsoft shareholders do not care about owning the ponds that bad to lose money on that.

His the guy who created this thread https://www.neogaf.com/threads/how-many-studios-do-you-think-microsoft-want-to-have.1655502/

Convinced ABK was going through with the CMA decision, fantasizing about the future.

Now his salty as fuck, having a meltdown he accuses others of.

So what you're saying is that we need to have played Redfall, on an Xbox console, in order to have an opinion on this deal?

Well I never.

As expected from Arkane, top quality and a GOTY contender, it was really never in doubt.
Never. In. Doubt.

It does nothing to change the current situation other than giving low information fans new propagated talking points being spawned.

In fact, the EU decision even recognizes and AGREES with the CMA's reason. EU seems to be salivating at the thought of levies.
