Because those would be likely be 6 month timed deals, as the previous GTA and Red Dead deals have been, first party stays on for life (Forza aside). But yeah, fo sure, if MS could get a 1 or 2 year deal for those games to be in Game Pass day one whilst they are still available on PS5 that would be perfect. Won't happen though.

I think if too many third parties go exclusive then you'll just see platform holders opening their own studios to make titles to plug any gaps.

I could imagine it becoming all about poaching individual producers, directors and programmers.

Zenimax was a private company. So all the negotiations can happen behind closed doors. Take-Two is a public company. Intent of acquisition would need to be disclosed to shareholders, followed by board approval.
