http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_...inked-major-league-baseball-ped-investigationMIAMI -- The list was written in April, in the hand of Biogenesis of America clinic founder Anthony Bosch. Among the names is the Milwaukee Brewers' Ryan Braun, and to the right of that name is a figure: $1,500.
That list, a source familiar with Bosch's operation told "Outside the Lines," indicates that those players received performance-enhancing drugs from Bosch, and owed him money. The document, one of dozens obtained by "Outside the Lines," suggests a closer link to Bosch and the now-shuttered clinic he ran in Coral Gables, Fla., than Braun has acknowledged.
The list is not definitive proof that Braun either received or used PEDs -- either would be a suspendable offense under Major League Baseball policy -- but may draw him more squarely into the spotlight as the league investigates the scandal and tries to draw the interest of law enforcement.
The Brewers outfielder was first connected to Bosch in a Yahoo! Sports report last week -- citing a different document -- that did not connect his name to drugs. Braun explained the report by saying he had consulted with Bosch during his successful appeal of a positive drug test a year ago. Why he consulted with Bosch, who is not a physician but presents himself as one, has not been made clear.
Reports coming out that Braun bought something from Bosch for $1,500. So looks like he's a big fat liar!

But a source familiar with the documents obtained by "Outside the Lines" said the list with Braun's name, which also includes New York Yankees Alex Rodriguez and Francisco Cervelli and Toronto's Melky Cabrera, was a list of players who received PEDs, and that there is "no other reason to be on that paper."
One of the documents shows plus signs next to the players' names, which are circled for players who paid their fees, a source said. Braun's $1,500 fee is marked as being unpaid. Braun's name appears on another list of player names, dollar amounts and dates but is not included in the listing; rather, his name is at the bottom of the page under a line with "Expenses" written on it.

Braun should be banned 100 games due to being a lying scumbag.
Cant be worse than mlb the show leagues

He got off on a technicality. Apparently people close to the situation know that there was no doubt he got caught.
It can look as bad as possible for the players named in the report. But without anyone with subpoena power investigating this, Major League Baseball has nowhere to go to get any additional information about this stuff, let alone enough to serve as the basis for discipline of the named players.
That's my question too...there was the league that had four spots a week ago that's like the mainstream league and then the one the brilliantly named Trust in Realignment won last year. Enron was the commissioner and whatnot? I'd start it if he/someone else didn't want to this year....
I'm far from the situation and had no doubt. Nobody actually cares about it except for the pompous media types and hof voters. He got off on a technicality. Apparently people close to the situation know that there was no doubt he got caught.
Ryan "HGH" Braun is clearly a cheat and cannot perform with the use of PED's and other miscellaneous substances.
Hopefully it's only a matter of time before he's suspended indefinitely and forced to give back the MVP he stole from Matt Kemp.
Kemp is all natural. And when we find out Kemp is on roids, what then? To whom shall we give the award?

Kemp is all natural.
Every single person in South Florida is well aware of this. Good to see the knowledge going national. What a dick. You obviously can't believe a single word that Loria says.
Make that international. Canada and the Expos were well aware of Loria's BS long before Florida.Every single person in South Florida is well aware of this. Good to see the knowledge going national.
17% for Pirates!
What are the percentages on winning 82 games? Let's aim low.

Yes, he clearly can (if he's guilty).Ryan "HGH" Braun is clearly a cheat and cannot perform with the use of PED's and other miscellaneous substances.
MLB brought this on themselves with the way they handled this in the past, this isn't on Braun. For example, in the NFL steroids cases are no big deal (though I'd be willing to guess a higher % cheat in the NFL), and they don't give a shit about testing..and when the media finds a PED user, it's no big deal. In baseball, we've got writers making accusations based off of scraps out of some rogue notebook. It's insane.Nobody can prove Kemp is on PED's. It's certainly possible, but as far as we know he's clean.
Braun on the other hand is a cheat who's already been caught. In addition to his name being linked to other suspicious activities. I really hope MLB steps up the plate and bans this joker. He's embarrassing himself and the game.
0%. As it is and always shall be.
It's why the Japanese league is miles ahead of us in the bat flip category.
I think they're a little too optimistic on the Mets' chances. .498 win pct., really? They're certainly higher on their chances than I am.
All teams are being regressed towards .500 there, just FYI.I think they're a little too optimistic on the Mets' chances. .498 win pct., really? They're certainly higher on their chances than I am.
The Orioles finally signed Jair Jurrjens......to a minor league deal.
Jurrjens had originally agreed to a 1-year, $1.5 million deal with $4 million worth of incentives, but something in his physical frightened the Orioles enough to downgrade their offer to a minor league deal.
They are going to play 18 games against the Marlins.

Yeah but they lose the six or so games they play against Houston.
Though now that I think about it, the Mets have struggled with the Astros the last couple of years.
Edit:
I'm...not sure what that means. Does it mean they don't predict anyone to have wildly good or bad years, like 100 wins/losses?
Either way, still too optimistic for me.
Total bullshit.Buster Olney is reporting that if both Juan Francisco and Chris Johnson struggle during spring training, "there will be a serious conversation" about Chipper Jones playing 3B for the Braves in 2013.
Supposedly, the reason the Braves have been saving around $10 million this offseason is for this scenario.

http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/02/out-of-options-2013.htmlThe following 40-man roster players have less than five years service time and are out of minor league options. That means they must clear waivers before being sent to the minors. I've included players on multiyear deals. This list was compiled through MLBTR's sources.
