Rosenthal: Rangers getting very close to signing Greinke, Dodgers close to pulling out of bidding war

If that happens what is the market for Hamilton. Rangers already said they aren't going to sign both. I would love for the Red Sox make a run at him for a 3yr deal.

personally I prefer AJ over Saltalamacchia
but I would prefer Saltalamacchia over Flowers
though I can't let you have McCarthy as he would be the ideal pick up for 6-7mil to replace floyd with. Plus it would be fun to see McCarthy and Danks in the same rotation given they were swapped for each other oh so many years ago.

Dude, the Sox only give out $13M a year contracts.

never heard about the cat, apparently
Sooo I was just reviewing some of the trades....did the Phillies really give up that much for Revere? yikes. He will probably project to something like 2.5 wins next season. Vance Worley alone probably is as good as that (and is under control for just as long as Revere), and they added Trevor May to the deal? lol. Maybe the Phillies scouts think Revere has potential to improve on his hitting, because as it stands now the Phillies got ripped off.

Revere hit far better for average in the minors, but he's never been patient at the plate, and he's tiny so I doubt he'll get a whole lot more power as he ages. I liked Ben, but I absolutely love this trade for the Twins. Oh what could have been if they traded Span this week too, sheesh.

Worley getting a lot of hospitality on the way out of town, I see.

I hope the Cards extend Wainwright before Grienke signs.

Yep, I think relative signings have hurt the Cardinals in the past. I still have a belief that the Jason Werth and Ryan Howard signings were part of the reason the Cardinals didn't get Albert for life.

We need Enigma to do a post at the end of every day again, this time with the trades of the day, I can't keep track of this all with finals week going on.
