I'll trade you a bottle of ketchup for nothing in return.
Out of the goodness of my heart.
Deal. It's nice to win a trade for once.

I know that it was refuted, but if you look at the Mets' system it's stocked with righty pitching. I would give up Dickey/Flores or Dickey/one of the good young arms not named Harvey or Wheeler (Mazzoni/Tapia/Mateo) in a second for D'Arnaud. Only thing I worry about D'Arnaud is his BB/SO ratio.Or they're trying to drive the Jays' price down in terms of who else they'd have to give up with Dickey.
I think it's harder to judge K/BB ratio at Vegas, since the hitting environment is so good hitters might be encouraging themselves to swing more.I know that it was refuted, but if you look at the Mets' system it's stocked with righty pitching. I do NOT want Arencibia, unless Gose and another good prospect accompany him. Arencibia's defense is so... bleh.
Again, Sandy heal out for Wheeler and I'm sure he's getting input from J.P. Riccardi. I trust Sandy to do the right thing.
Report out of Texas is that the Phillies signed Mike Adams to a 3 year/18 million dollar deal. Seems one year too long to me, but he will be a nice fit for the bullpen.
Cashman/Enron, any scouting? I mean, I've seen a little of him, but not exactly a ton.
Isn't D'Arnaud basically like Buster Posey 2.0? BlueJays would be stupid to trade him for 2 years of a 38 year old knuckleballer, especially one that will be going from the NL to the AL East.
Passan says teams are looking at medicals now. I want to go to sleep but I can't!
Hairston killed it last year. Free agent though.Yeah, if D'Arnaud is involved, it's big-ish. Though looking at the Mets depth chart.... oi.
You guys have any Lefty-mashers on the roster?

Jays better win in the next year or two, that system is becoming pretty drained.
Mets are close to that. But Travis D'Arnaud should help dat.9 of the top 10 prospects in our system will be pitchers after D'Arnaud is traded.
No bats.
This is what farm systems are for. System will still be decent, and it's gonna get the 10th pick this year.Jays better win in the next year or two, that system is becoming pretty drained.
Same here bro. Plz no Davis or Niese.Looks like an agreement's been reached.
No details yet. I'm nervous to see who else the Mets had to give up and if they'll be getting any additional pieces back.
If either of them are included, I'm gonna flip my shit.Same here bro. Plz no Davis or Niese.
Probably won't be enough starts to tell one way or the other.I wonder how the knuckleball will work in a dome.

Why in the world of FUCK would you trade Bautista?
Oh, we'll that's why I want to see Arencibia traded. Just to see his twitter reactions after assuring fans he wasn't going anywhere.Just for entertainment value...

It's not that he isn't replaceable, I just don't think it's wise to trade away 2/5 of your starting rotation, especially with Johan still being a question mark. Not to mention Niese's talent is easily well worth the contract we have him signed to.I like Niese... A lot, actually. But he isn't irreplaceable. Plug in Lannan if need be.
Niese isn't valuable enough to hold up this deal, if it includes both Gose and D'Arnaud.
I'm not! I love Gose. Mets fans should really enjoy watching him play.People are probably underrating Gose a little. He can stick in CF and he's been particularly young at every level.
I'm okay with this.
I doubt Niese is coming back. Think more like Davis/Murphy maybe. It really depends on who else is coming back with Dickey. One of Niese/Davis would make me feel a lot better about losing two good, young players in TDA and Gose.

I really doubt it. The whole point was for the Mets to get a righty catcher to complement Thole.I wonder if Thole might be coming back, just as someone who can catch the Knuckler.
Same, but see above.I'd rather lose Thole than Murphy.

You... you think D'Arnaud is going to complement someone? Fuck that, he's starting everyday. Mets can find someone else who hits lefty and catches and play him once a week.I really doubt it. The whole point was for the Mets to get a righty catcher to complement Thole.
Yeah, if this goes through, we'll have an insane rotation. Romero would be our #5 FFS! Will definitely be down at the dome quite a lot.
But really depends on who else is coming back with Dickey. One of Niese/Davis would make me feel a lot better about losing two good, young players in TDA and Gose.
