Ya but between my substance abuse and years of watching Bad MMA I have all kinds of vague memories. I also have vague but distinct memories of watching Joe Daddy get beheaded in a special weapons overtime round. According to wikipedia that never happened, but he did get choked by a former gay porn star.

Did the Bad MMA drive you to substance abuse? Or was it your overindulgence in substances that led down the slippery slope to Bad MMA? Or just an unholy matrimony?

There was some dude in Bad MMA who called time out, then just climbed out of the cage and headed off backstage...

Yeah, that classic self-called time out and bail out:

Jon Jones is currently renting a room out in Daniel Cornier's head. It's crazy that he's coming across as mentally weaker than the addict who is fresh out of rehab. Getting upset that people aren't cheering for you because you've never been to rehab was just pathetic.

DC seems like one of those dudes that would call himself a nice guy.

These odds are pretty ridiculous. Connor's mouth must be bringing in a ton of bets from people who never watch.
(Connor at -400, Diaz at +400 at time of post)

Man, the size difference wad too much. Diaz dominated the second right.

I hope conor understands that he should stay st featherweight, if you love up you get you ass kicked, and I am a conor fan

Bet the fucking farm on Nate Diaz. This is not a winnable fight for Conor McGregor.

Let's bet.

Diaz got TKO'd by the Punk with half a functioning knee like a year ago.

And you base that on what exactly?

If Diaz is going to win it's not going to be with strikes. You can count on that.

What up though

No, I don't think Nate will try to take Conor down, but I can see Conor shooting once he realizes that he's getting outranged and falling right into an omoplata or something.

It was a very entertaining fight and well done to Nate Diaz. Wonder will Conor go a different route to sell his fights, but it will be interesting to see how he bounces back.

It was a brave move on his part to go up two weight divisions lets remember, going to be interesting to see where he ends up.

Hats off to Diaz again, cant but not like him for some odd reason, took the fight on short notice and finished him well. Will be interesting to see how all of Conor's new (bandwagon) fans react to the loss as well, I will certainly be cheering him on when/if the RDA fight rolls around, I hope there isn't a cheap backlash against him for losing one fight. Considering what the RDA/Diaz fight was like, I think he should defend the FW title first at 200.

Conor most likely would have comfortably won that fight if he had stopped the showboating and defended correctly you cant deny, as he was landing bombs in round 1, But alas he chose not to. Hope he doesn't make the same mistake again ala Silva.

But did anyone else think he was gassed after round 1? He looked out of breath on the stool.

Also would love for Conor to leave SBG, think hes outgrown Kavanagh who isn't a world calibre coach.

But hope thats the end of the rubbish thinking he could beat Robbie. It would be a massive upset, hed have easily KOed Conor on the evidence tonight.

Robbie would kill Conor with the first shot.

I think 155 is still very doable for Conor, and he beats most of the division. Nate, as Mystic Dream pointed out when the fight was first announced, is just a stylistic nightmare for Conor.

He would've won until he lost?

Dont play dumb.

No showboating + hands up, with some more urgency and he'd have won. He was wrecking diaz.

Dont think a guy with a Greg Jackson avatar should be all high and mighty tonight either in fairness, not a pretty sight when your gold star student gets choked out by a Rhonda ragdoll is it now?

Intradesting.

Anyway,

win or learn.

Conor will come back even better. Maybe at a new gym, less flamboyant/showboating shit, a proper striking defense.

Its hilarious how everyone now is giving McGregor stick for jumping two weight classes and taking a new opponent on ten days notice. How can anyone laugh at that? Its better when we have champions like you know who who wont do superfights, and pull out of cards when a new opponent is picked.

But everyone knows its dammed if you do, dammed if you dont with Conor with his haters.

If he does, I expect great things. Hes only 27 remember ;-)

Still the champion of the midgets anyway.

Winning until he lost. Does not matter if by over confidence, bad luck or 209.
Its that showboating that makes him interesting so he dies or lives by that awesomeness. TONIGHT HE DIED!

I think you may need to sleep on this one, Eanan. There is no "he was going to win" when your hero whistles in his best shit and still gets tapped.

I sometimes forget that im posting on Neogaf you know?

Shame for me for being bummed that someone i've been bigging up since 2011 has lost again, and is primed to take lots of stick from people who have been waiting to dish it since 2013.

Im sure ill be crying into my cornflakes in the morning, 100%.

The best part of this is I can actually read all the tears from the Irish fans. When Aldo lost, they were all in Portuguese.

Hes tapped twice before and came back ten fold better before. Same will happen im sure, providing he leaves SBG I think.

Hes not a welterweight fighter for christ sake. He jumped two weight classes, sure his character persona now makes it delicious for his detractors, of course.

Im angry at Conor mostly. He blew his chance really, it was his own downfall on first viewing, he had the fight there for the taking.

"My hero" also. Awwwwww

This was basically two 155ers not cutting weight. Robbie Lawler or Condit are legit welterweights.

It's always funny seeing a fighter take a loss better than his fans can manage.

Conor's natural weight class is 155, Nate's natural weight class is 155. They're both 155ers that didn't cut weight for this fight, the whole "he's going up two weights" shit was to prop Conor up to promote the fight.

He lost to someone in his own division, someone that had less than two weeks to prepare. Conor had a full camp preparing for a championship fight.

This is embarrassing for him.

Well, no, not really. It wasn't really a skill differential. It was the reach, which fed into the style clash. Allow Mystic Dream to travel back in time by two weeks and explain:

Nate's 2 inch reach advantage and superior ground game.

I had to watch my boy Cain get his ass handed to him in his home country. It's hard, but you'll get through it Eanan.

Hold me, im staying loyal though.

This is embarrassing for him.

Nope, moved two weight divisions from his last night, instead of staying stagnant and took a new opponent on ten days notice instead of bailing on the card. Took a massive risk. Nothing to ashamed of, to be applauded.

This loss will probably put all that leverage Conor had in picking his own fights out the window.

That RDA fight is donezo. It's either Edgar or Aldo for the Featherweight belt. If UFC wants to keep their cash machine, it's an Aldo rematch.

Oh yeah, today's fight wasn't a sell-out at all. Dana had to tweet and gave away tickets yesterday.

The initial fighting RDA for RDA's belt wasn't a risk for Conor besides him losing.

Nothing was on the line from him.

He should defend his belt a few times before going into "nothing to lose" territory.

Of course it's risky doing what he did but the stakes weren't high for him as no matter what happened, he still had a belt.

Seems calculated to me more than brave even though it's a bit of both.

I mean, put your shit on the line against a risky opponent.

Count me in as one of those guys who couldn't wait to see McGregor get got. But really, I feel nothing from this. The guy earned everyone's respect in his run to the FW title and that's what he should be judged on. Hopefully this loss leads him to toning down that now-empty braggadocios persona of his, because that's my only problem with him really.

The person I feel sorry for the most now is Frankie Edgar, because the smart money is Aldo getting a rematch at 200, and then dealing with the fallout from that. If Edgar gets a title shot at FW this year I'd be really surprised. He would have better chances of getting a LW title shot than FW.

I imagine Rousey feels a lot more confident about fighting Tate than Holm, so maybe that will be at 200 as well.

And Nate probably just booked his ticket to getting a rematch against Dos Anjos. Hopefully he's properly motivated this time.

So Rousey's next fight will be against Tate now? Yawn. She has beaten that girl multiple times. It should be an undercard fight because people would rather see her rematch against Holm but Holm doesn't have the title now so....Dana's hands are tied
