MMA |OT3| When you lose you're a can, when you win you're unstoppable.

You know what? I think Anderson might sub Bones if they fought. Jones has this horrible habit of leaving his arms straight out while in guard.

I think the obvious style counter for Jones is a BJJ wiz. Of course there are none at 205 so he gets away with his bad habits and he sure has plenty of them but let me back off before I get accused of hating.

If Weidman wins Bisping should fight Belcher for contender status and he should fight the winner of Mak x Hector for the next spot.

Thanks for making me never want to think about sex again on the same day the Rhonda Rousey goods come out, guys...

Alan Belcher fights so sparingly that I didn't even realize he was on a 4 fight win streak. 4 wins in 4 years.

If only Cung didn't suck, I would love to see him vs Andy. Like if he were good it would be a really interesting match up with the spinning kicks and good wrestling base.

I know he's got some great highlights against Strikeforce unknowns but his UFC showing has been shit. Can he really carry a main event with Franklin? Oh wait, this is UFC 2012.

3 BadMMA cards in 4 days, beginning tomorrow night. Not bad. The Strikeforce card actually looks the best of the bunch but I probably won't watch it unless I'm home.

That's some poor trolling. Jadamba Narantungalag isn't even in the UFC.

Bruce Buffer would need an oxygen mask after saying that name.

Hunt Vs Big Country? dayum, do want. Big Country as much as I like him probably getting KTFO to 205.

If Mark Hunt was on the card I'd be 80% convinced to travel to Macau to watch it live. I'd need another few names to push me over the edge.

If Hector Lafraud wins he gets Anderson next.

I have my doubts if Munoz wins. The guy has paid his dues and if he fought sonnen and won instead of getting injured he would have already had his chance at a title.

If he loses and Hector wins then yeah, no doubt Hector gets the next shot.

If both Munoz and Hector lose......

Mark Hunt's winning steak (the longest in the division apart from JDS) is my favourite thing in MMA just now.

Ya, there were lots of times people got yellow carded in Pride when they probably couldn't do anything offensive. It was like being penalized for not opening yourself up to being attacked. Not everyone has a good bottom game or the body type to go for triangles.

Not long ago I saw Aoki pin and leg trap Aurelio who was on the bottom. Aoki just laid on him and didn't punch and didn't move and Aurelio was completely wrapped up and couldn't wiggle free. The ref yellow carded Aurelio even though it was Aoki who was the only one who could control the attack and movement.

Mark Munoz: Hector Lombard's Been 'Recycling' Cans, Not Fighting

It's very, very frustrating," Munoz confessed. "I know he's a good fighter. I know that he has a good record, but he was in another organization. To be in the best organization - which is the UFC - and for me to be in the UFC, and to have the best fighters in the UFC that are ranked in the world, and for me to fight them for as long as I've been in there and then a new guy coming in who has been fighting cans.

He's learning.

could be pretty entertaining. I usually enjoy the strikeforce events quiet abit.

I wanna see if Rockhold can not be wrestlefucked by Kennedy

I'd like to see Woodly destroy Nate but

I expect Lawler to knockout Larkin in devastating fashion

I think diet Jardine is gonna have to retire if he can't finish Gracie( is this fight at 185?)

Masvidal should easlily beat Wilcox

Rockhold has a pretty good BJJ game so I'm expecting Kennedy to employ Jackson's current favorite fight strategy, stick and move. I hope Rockhold is prepared for it and hopefully Kennedy is better at it than Guida.

As if Chris Leben is better than Alex Shlemenko or CB Dolloway is better than a guy like Trevor Prangley. Not that I think too highly of Lombard but I can't really say Mark Munoz deserves to be ranked higher than him.

Jon Jones explaining why none of the proposed super fights will ever become a reality.

Jon Jones said:
It's not that he won't fight me or I won't fight him. To be dead honest, it's that we both have a lot to lose and we both respect each other a lot and we both are striving for personal greatness. I don't want to crack on his greatness and I don't want him cracking on my greatness. We're in completely different weight classes. We both have sponsor deals and things that are really important to us and a big part of that sponsorship package is winning [and] being a champion. Having us fight each other means one of our championships goes away. I respect Anderson Silva so much that I don't want to be the guy to beat him. I don't want to lose to him either. It's a lose-lose situation for me.

Same thing I've always said on this subject. UFC Champions make so much more money than the rest of the roster, it's just not worth the risk.

Why do people hate Faber? He brings it every fight and comes off as a cool dude. He also has a unique marketable look to him.
The the ass-chin, the swishy hair, the douchey "alpha male" club, and the attempt to bill him as GOAT material when he competed in WEC and he'd not really fought GOAT-worthy opponents. People were willing to pass on the Tyson Griffin loss as a one time slip, "he got lucky" thing, but Mike Brown and then Jose Aldo exposed him as quite vulnerable to a prepared opponent who isn't going to let him bully them around like he's the King of Munchkinland.

On TUF, I think Faber came across as a lot more forced than Cruz. Faber seemed to be playing up to the cameras more and I ended up liking Cruz more than him. In regards to those losses though, in the Brown fight he broke his hands, and Jose Aldo is Jose Aldo.

In the perfect world (of zero injuries, zero problems, etc) the UFC would give Las Vegas their yearly "Super Bowl" MMA event in July with a "UFC Night of Champions Openweight Tournament." 8 champions enter, one is crowned the True Ultimate Fighting Champion.

But yeah, injuries, the fact there would be 3 fights for the finalists, unwillingness for fighters to participate and the cheapening of the belts would kill off that idea before it even started. Not to mention total opposition from the athletic commissions.

Broke his hands and still out struck Browns bitch ass with standing elbows and held his own in the grappling department.

I'm hoping that the casinos/government in Macau have given the UFC Arab Money in return for a stacked/more-than-half-decent card.

I like Hunt because he's a wrecking machine and K-1 champion. I'm confident that he could destroy anyone who doesn't have a decent ground game. That includes JDS.

If Hunt is on this card I (for some reason) see him getting paired against Bigfoot Silva. But if the aforementioned Wikitroll is accurate, Hunt vs. Nelson would be god-tier.

So I guess the GSP/BJ Penn fights are the last that we will see a super fight in UFC history. Fuckin Dana's not making it happen. Sucks that we will never see Silva/Jones as they both have zero competition (if he beats Hendo than who is next?).

If PRIDE was around we would be seeing some sick fights already. Brock vs Fedor, Jones vs Silva and Jones vs GSP would have already happened. Not to mention freak fights like Hendo vs Carwin.

Sigh. I don't even know what to say when I hear a UFC posterboy say garbage like this. It's depressing. Fuck Jon Jones. Fuck GSP, fuck all the "safe" champions, hell, fuck all the "safe" fighters, fuck the UFC for making it so the fighters want to have "safe" fights. Fuck!

I'm not saying Brown is hot shit (you can't be hot shit if you lose to Manny Gambuyrian), but Faber lost to Brown twice. You can blame broke hands and shit judging on the second fight, but you can't say "I was hurt/had mono/grandma died/dog ate my homework" every time you lose and then say "but if everything was going my way, I'd be the greatest".

If the stars align and whatever voodoo magic Dan Henderson has perfected works and he beats Jon Jones I can see him instantly calling out Anderson Silva. It would be something like "I want both my belts back." Then the PRIDE victory theme would play and everyone here would mark the fuck out.

If he loses I still see him eventually fighting Silva. Nothing says "I guess I'll try being a middleweight" like being thrown around by Jon Jones.

The same "safe champions" like Fedor who constantly refused to fight Alistair Overeem. Then again that led to Overeem winning K-1 so I guess it worked out for The Reem. Not being Uberkneed into Goodridgeville also worked out for Fedor too I guess.

There's too much at stake for these champions to take anything other than the "safe" route. Afterall, Jon Jones does need to replace his Bentley.

Imo when you are 24 and already trying to hold on to what you have instead of dream big, you're setting yourself up for mediocrity. I can't think of any other great fighter who was already trying to protect their legacy 3-4 years into their career. I present no evidence; just my feeling.

Well the first time Faber headbutted Browns fist knocking himself loopy. :) It was a poor tactic.

He's the LHW Champion, it's not as if he has any bigger dream right now than beating Tito's record and then moving on to his next challenge.

Well, maybe the chance of a drunken threesome in the back of a Bentley, but I digress...

Why dream big when you have a legion of front running fanboys calling you the GOAT 4 years into your career? :)

I think Jones will eventually move to HW but he's just as spooked by Anderson as people seem to think Silva is by Jones.

Yeah fucking boring ass champions and boring ass fighters. We need more guys like Hendo and Wand in this sport. Fucking Wand had the balls to take on Mark Hunt in PRIDE....just think about that right now. Its fun to think what would have become if it was PRIDE that bought the UFC and not vice versa. Not to turn this into another PRIDE vs UFC, but PRIDE was definitely the more entertaining product than what the UFC was providing. I also liked how many UFC and PRIDE fighters at the time were not locked into exclusive WWE like contracts at the time and were able to fight in other leagues such as Pancrase and do some shoot style pro wrestling fights. Now its either you are UFC exclusive or not.
