Thanks! Can't say I'm stoked to play the same thing over and over again, but we'll see how I feel after doing it a few times.
It doesn't seem to but that is what makes the game so addictive. When playing against the monster again and again you will become more aware of its patterns and you will improve your way of playing. This game is very rewarding.
Also you will face the desire sensor.

Anyone know how to get this guild card award?

Is there a reason Monster Hunter's zones are so disconnected?
Why not just one open world all the way through?

Performance issues?

It allows for varied map design and makes tracking monsters less tedious. I would hate to see MH go open world.

Gravios took me 19 minutes with two bomb rounds and 2 shock traps (first time fighting him). I'm never doing this guy again

I started using a water gun after fighting him with a melee weapon, the fight sucks so hard when you are a blademaster. Gravios is a bore, but at least he goes down quickly and easily with a Ludroth LBG. The same goes for the Black Gravios. Crafting an LBG just for that fight is worth it.

This is my solution for defeating Gravios/Black Gravios with the Royal Torrent LBG in convenient flowchart form:

Just switch to normal 2/3 or whatever once the water shots run out. It goes very quickly.
Craft more on the fly. Also no need to sheathe on original. He's too slow, so a decent read and dodge will do.

I didn't want to waste my stacks of Whetfish on Gravios of all things. He'd always be almost dead once I got through my initial stack of 60, so I'd finish him off with a few normal shots or clust or whatever.

And since an LBG sheathes/unsheathes almost SnS-fast, it was easier to just run behind him. Plus I could superman dive if I happened to misjudge his turn direction.

Haha yeah. I was lancing and the range on his smoke attacks was really frustrating. I have to basically poke and run constantly because once his animation starts for the smoke, even 3 hops back isn't enough distance.

Still rocking my 6 defense armor but he didn't do that much damage and he was so slow I could chug like 4 potions without batting an eye. It was just a drawn out fight for the sake of being drawn out.

Woo finally got my Kushala Gem, time to make this awesome Kushala charge blade.

I've been having a lot of fun with the charge blade recently, had to retire the greatsword and try out something a little different and the charge blade is just so much fun.

It handles every situation so well and it's insanely good at fighting off the frenzy virus, which is my biggest issue with the GS honestly. Fighting frenzy monsters with the GS can be such a pain.

Just an FYI you need a Daora gem to make a better CB. Unless you;re making them all you;re better off saving it.

I think they can be useful as healers. Not really reliable of course.

And not to forget their main utility : living baits.

Flying F Bomb is really helpful for me at the end of Village High Rank. I have a bunch of attack cats set as first stringers and the cats I bring with me do 2-3 Flying F Bombs per match. They were just latched on to a Silver Rathalos' face for me for half the match, giving me many openings.

Everyone wasn't kidding about Seregios being a pushover. He went down so quickly. Even could do the double hunt of him after with the same equipment set. Got a lens the first go, so I'm definitely going to craft his armor. Should be a really good starter G-Rank, especially when I get Evade-Dist+ talismaned and gemed on.

Really surprising how easy he is given how hard the G1 keys were for me. Tiger Zamtrios, the dual Cephadrome (for some reason) and Tidal Najarala were really tricky quests.

Why is it impossible to change equipment in the guild hall. You always have to go back to your house...

Rendering/Loading 4 players constantly changing stuff in the hall could be problematic, I guess.

What really bugs me is that you can't change stuff offline at the blue box before leaving for a SP quest.

Don't 3ds' connect automatically to starbucks and other NintendoZones? Mine's not connecting.

Edit: Has to be done manually now for some reason.

Anyway here's the room:

G1 rank stuff.

Do you ever find gear, or is everything crafted from materials you find/buy/gain?

Also, is it feasible to use many different weapon types, or do you want to specialise early in one type?
