Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate |OT| I Mounted It!

Is this game going to be impossible to find in NA soon? I went to all my local game sellers and none of them had it. Target told me they only got TWO copies lol. I ordered it online, to avoid the Xenoblade struggle.

Also 17 more monsters than unite? wtf!

In Sydney, the game seems to be sold out in a lot of places. I work in the city, and I've checked two EB Games and one JB Hi-Fi and they're all sold out.

Not sure how many copies they all ordered, but about a week before it came out, I asked the storekeeper at one of the EBs whether I needed to preorder to secure a copy and he told me that he had 21 copies left that weren't already preordered.

For the shortcut panels on the lower screen, is there a way to change which items they're shortcuts to? They always seem to be First-Aid, Ration, Mini Whetstone and Paintball.

You guys are too fast lol. Here I am still, on the second village only, grinding Tetsu's armor. It's hard to play with so much to do for school :/ Haven't even gone online yet.

I thought of grinding Gore to get its armour (already have his GS and quite a few materials) but I'm sticking with my Nerscylla set. I enjoy my GS very much (with the prospect of getting sleep on it for my next upgrade!).

So, any suggestions on what charge blades to aim for?

I really just started, but I want to get an idea what to shoot for so as to not be inefficient with materials

Yep. Open up the menu so you can customize your panels, and on the screen with the list of panels, there is a selection labeled options. It lets you edit a handful of the panels, including the item shortcuts.

Yeah, there's an option for that in the options... option. It's above the cat that appears when you arrange the panels.

I have no idea how I missed that. Thanks.

Thanks for these man. I haven't played MH since Freedom Unite on the PSP and even the old weapons feel new thanks to all the improvements. I also had no idea the charge blade was as powerful as that.

So I've solo'd the Shagaru Magala around three times now. Would you guys say that's an appropriate time to jump into online?

Not very far in the game but I am loving the variety of monsters this time around. Also liking the Insect Glaives coming from my Dual Blades main in 3U. Love the way the attacks look and like the extra buffs that the insect gives you. What are some good armor sets and Insect Glaives that I should be getting early on?

Wow, thank you for this! These canteen quest no longer have [Canteen] tag so it kinda make me confused why there isn't any canteen quest yet lol

Only thing you really need to do before jumping online is getting a feel and understanding your weapons attacks IMO.

Nothing worse than playing with people who send everyone else flying.

i think quests with a little fish symbol next to them are canteen quests. but i could be wrong.

Basarios is kindof a pushover, isn't he? He looks very rocky and tough, but dies in about 5 minutes. It was a "wait, that's it?" moment when he went down so quickly.

Anyone have any idea what would be the best armor set to put monsters to sleep? Or paralyze I guess. I really want to use that flower lance that has the sleep effect.

HR1 Nerscylla took me 30 mins to solo with hammer.

brb committing sudoku in shame
This fucker has been the most trouble for me. I'm charge blade, but she's so damn fast. Webbed, sleeped, poisoned, and knocked around. All while she zips around. I'm surprised my L button isn't broke by now.

It's even worse because I want the armor.
