I'm fully expecting poor performance and optimization across the board. Capcom struggled with this for Dragons Dogma 2 and a couple other games. Hopefully not the case though.

if the beta is anything to go by it will be more like 720p 45fps unless they massively improved the performance mode since the beta.

I never played something that ugly on current gen than that beta.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
PSSR right?

60 fps mode on consoles sounds promising even with those shitty CPU:s

it means a toaster PC CPU will run it fine i guess

And just like that, we have the same situation as the PS4 and PS4 Pro, except no excuse that the console generation wasn’t banking on 4K/60fps to begin with. I love Capcom and the MH dev team, but this just goes to show the top hardware config will be utilized as the target spec and others will suffer. We are going to be seeing a lot of this in new releases.

The game look like a mid ps4 game even on pc maxed out, they are just doing what is expected.

Hopefully the pc version is gonna get an external texture pack like they did with world.

The people that attended the latest event reported that the new build did run much better. There is no way this is locked, but the performance mode could be within the VRR range at release.
they played a build that was locked to 30

Is running at 60fps on all consoles, except the Series S, the thread title is misleading.
We can run it at 60 fps on the Switch also. Just need to lower the resolution. 320x240 might do it since apparently we don't give a fuck about IQ. We could just take one pixel and run that at 60, same thing right?

Odd how Capcom RE games have a super lightweight engine but Dragon's Dogma and Monster Hunter are absolutely brutal.

Dragons Dogma was a CPU issue with the NPCs having lives or whatever.

Monster Hunter Rise runs on potatoes at like 100fps?
Were you thinking of Monster Hunter World?
That game is MT Framework.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

The beta that came out a few months ago wasn't that hot in its performance mode from what I recall, a lot of people just preferred the more consistent 30 fps version with cleaner visuals.

We have plenty of complaints about UE5 inefficiencies, but they are pale in comparison with crapcom achievements

Since the RE Engine was introduced Capcom have been on a roll.

RE Engine was introduced in 2017(actual title launched)
Unreal Engine 5 was introduced in 2020.

Weve had more complaints and issue with UE5 than weve had with Capcom as a whole in that time.

Also confirmed that IF they bring the beta back it will just basically be the same one without all the weapon tweaks. they dont want to make another one. no demo
