It looks pretty cool, but it didn’t blow me away like I had hoped it would. Johnny Cage not being in this sucks, because he was my favorite part of the first Mortal Kombat movie. Sub-Zero and Scorpion both look really cool, but I agree that “Get over here” was weak as hell. I like some of the casting, but I can’t shake some of the casting from the original movie because it was so fucking spot on. I’ve been wanting to see this for a long time, so I’ll be subscribing to HBO Max just to see it. I just hope it’s as good as I want it to be. Can’t be as bad as Annihilation, but it’s got a tall order to beat the original, but that might just be nostalgia talking.
