I don't know what you mean by polish in respect of 3D platformers. To be honest I just want very satisfying gameplay which games like A Hat in Time & Tinykin deliver in equal measure to Astro.Hold it up against any 3D platformer of this generation, the past decade, or even since Mario 64. It's one of the best ever in the genre. It doesn't innovate in the way that Galaxy or 64 did. It's just really well made and has a level of polish that Yooka Laylee, A Hat in Time, Lucky's Tale, etc do not. It's as close to a Nintendo platformer from another company that I can remember.
