Well i would agree with NLB2, for the fact that anyone who would generalize a whole nation of people into one statement has something wrong with thier logic, and head. Im not proclaiming that certain foreigners dont have legitimate reasons for hating certain americans as i could share that sentiment.

Here here. If you interact with enough Americans, you learn that hating all of them and correcting your assumptions about the few that you're wrong about is much more efficient than giving everybody a chance.

I went there once though, even the republican guy we stayed with was cool. But we humoured him over his political views and pretended to agree.

I can't stand it when the "I hate so and so country and all it's people" stuff starts coming out. My friend (who happens to be a Marine) refuses to shop at Target because he's convinced it's owned by the French. It very well may be, I have no idea.. but I'm not going to stop going there because it's owned by the French. Even if I did have a problem with the French (which I don't), I would still shop there. To have a problem with an entire country of people is just retarded. I have no problems with any particular country or group of people. Except the Dutch. :lol

I can see his point. He feels guilt at not yet having fully paid them back for taking so long to help out in WW II and for the debt the US owes to France for their aid in the American Revolution. To take advantage of their low, low prices as well would be simply crass.
