Full Metal Alchemist (the original because I'm currently watching brotherhood, and although I am enjoying it, I think it gets away with the pacing because it somewhat assumes the viewer has already seen the original)

This is really tough because I either like a series or I don't. There is only one clear #1 for me and everything else is jumbled. I like some comedy, but I prefer action with comedy mixed in. I usually don't like drama or romance all that much, because it's usually way over the top, but there are always exceptions.

Surprised by the little presence of Fist of the North Star and Saint Seiya compared to Dragon Ball.

Saint Seiya is pretty much nonexistent in the US, so It makes sense.
