That trailer nearly sold me on the PS4 version. That was the most impressive sports game I've seen in terms of visuals and we all know 2k got the game play down pat.

There's going to be a dramatic difference between broadcast cam in current gen and in next gen.

A) How long until NBA Live is cancelled?
B) How can anyone who has played the PC version think that it's anything close to being as beautiful as this? (I get the PC and console versions of 2K every year. The next-gen version blows every sports game I've ever seen completely out of the water.)

The thing I love most about the lighting is that the arenas actually feel different now, just like they do in real life.
In a TV broadcast I can instantly tell the difference between the Staples Center or MSG.

Not necessarily. Going on past generations this these games dont take that much horsepower. I could easily run 2k13 at 8k on my 580. May not be the best comparison but just throwing that out there.

Looks awesome but what a horrible edit on the video. So much potential with that song and cool angles.
The trailer is in-game actions, done with cinematic angles. You choose one angle to play with, most people go with "broadcast angle" or an over the top/behind the back angle.
You get camera angles like this when they highlight big plays, in between plays, at the start of the game, etc. They also do great packaging for half time and at the end of the game. It doesn't look like the trailer while you're actively controlling your player, but it would be unplayable if it did.

I bought the last 4 2K games on PC. Although they run butter smooth, i'm pretty sure the vanilla versions are actually missing effects from the console games.
So needless to say, they're nowhere close to 2K14 on PS4. Even with enhancements you'll get from mods, a lot of the assets for the PS4 are completely different. Bodies, faces, lighting, and stuff like Harden's moving beard are all in another league compared to anything based on the current gen versions.
And yeah, it wouldn't shock me to see Live get canned again. They've caved to backlash twice already.
Looks good, but its not technically gameplay so I will reserve judgement until I actually see footage of what the game will look like when someone is actually playing it. I also think its hilarious that people are calling for the cancellation of LIVE when there has been no actual gameplay shown from both LIVE and 2K14.

Don't really like NBA games, but these graphics are amazing. I always like seeing how games progress no matter what game it is.
They've both had "cinematic" gameplay footage released so far. It's clear which one looks better, by a large margin.
But predicting another cancellation for Live is really silly. I can't imagine they would even think about doing that again.

These are replays. This is what the game looks like up close. You'll see all the detail several times each game through replays in the presentation, and halftime/post-game highlights. It's only going to look but so good during gameplay with the camera zoomed out.
I'm not calling for the cancellation of Live, but I could see it happening. Everyone's laughing at it on forums, youtube, instagram, and wherever else EA tries to promote it. The last couple times this happened, they cancelled the game.

But I do really enjoy the gameplay so EA gets credit for that.
Anyway, in the trailer, did anyone notice somekind of weird blurring around some players' heads. I downloaded the trailer, not the youtube version.
Watched the gamersryde version again and most of it seems to be because of focusing on the player in motion it shows a slight blur effect, also some of it was because of the lighting.

I really hope they had time to get dedicated servers in the Xbox One version. That's the one I have pre-ordered.

Their videos are always so crisp. Good work Blim.
Maybe next year, maybe. I don't think the modders will be able to do much with this years version.

There's some stuff it's missing, like 3 seconds in the paint (if a defensive player, or an offensive player with out the ball sits inside the key for more than 3 seconds). Basically you're not allowed to just camp under the basket.
Arms look weird, like in the elbow joints, when Kobe talks to the guys in the bench, and then the beard is just clipping through the dude's shirt like ain't nobody's business.
I mean, still looks 2 generations ahead of Live 14, but I don't get the craze.
