So I have a theory on this......
The reason we keep seeing super tight and up close gameplay footage of next-gen sports titles is because when you actually play the games there's not going to appear to be a major difference to most players between current gen
In the Air Tonight is such a great song.
There's going to be a dramatic difference between broadcast cam in current gen and in next gen.
The new lighting is a game-changer in itself.
It was gameplay footage, with cinematic camera angles.Great trailer but I saw zero gameplay.
Not necessarily. Going on past generations this these games dont take that much horsepower. I could easily run 2k13 at 8k on my 580. May not be the best comparison but just throwing that out there.900p60 incoming then.
That's some good free marketing for Sony.![]()
Must be surreal seeing yourself digitized like that. hah.

The trailer is in-game actions, done with cinematic angles. You choose one angle to play with, most people go with "broadcast angle" or an over the top/behind the back angle. That looks crazy good, but is that actual gameplay or just the cinematic shots that happen after you shoot, kind of like Konami's Double Dribble?
I bought the last 4 2K games on PC. Although they run butter smooth, i'm pretty sure the vanilla versions are actually missing effects from the console games.A) How long until NBA Live is cancelled?
B) How can anyone who has played the PC version think that it's anything close to being as beautiful as this? (I get the PC and console versions of 2K every year. The next-gen version blows every sports game I've ever seen completely out of the water.)
They've both had "cinematic" gameplay footage released so far. It's clear which one looks better, by a large margin.Looks good, but its not technically gameplay so I will reserve judgement until I actually see footage of what the game will look like when someone is actually playing it. I also think its hilarious that people are calling for the cancellation of LIVE when there has been no actual gameplay shown from both LIVE and 2K14.
These are replays. This is what the game looks like up close. You'll see all the detail several times each game through replays in the presentation, and halftime/post-game highlights. It's only going to look but so good during gameplay with the camera zoomed out.Looks good, but its not technically gameplay so I will reserve judgement until I actually see footage of what the game will look like when someone is actually playing it. 2K have been fantastic ever since the awesome work they did on the Dreamcast. It's a little sad they still haven't had a try at a Football (Soccer) game yet.

Yeah, FIFAs graphics are....eh.
But I do really enjoy the gameplay so EA gets credit for that.
Anyway, in the trailer, did anyone notice somekind of weird blurring around some players' heads. I downloaded the trailer, not the youtube version.

This trailer almost made me reconsider buying a next gen console. So damned good.
Bless Gamersyde btw.
any ideas if this version is also coming out for PC? I know they already have one out, but I'd rather get my hands on this shiny baby.
uh, am I the only one not impressed? the arms look funny
This seems decent. I just Googled for it. Although it's for teaching kids basketball, hahah. So for all of us who's jumping in for the first time in years, is there a great website which explains the basics and rules of basketball?
lol
Unless you're not joking, in which case...
lol lol
Arms look weird, like in the elbow joints, when Kobe talks to the guys in the bench, and then the beard is just clipping through the dude's shirt like ain't nobody's business.
I mean, still looks 2 generations ahead of Live 14, but I don't get the craze.
Probably? 2K has always been good about putting out demos.I've never liked basketball or basketball games but this looks game good.
Do you think there will be a PS4/X1 demo?
