Thinking the Warriors will win does not make someone a fairweather Warriors fan. It probably just makes you a fairweather sports fan.
Your Warrior fans need to check the odds before you start running your mouth like that.

I checked with everyone in my family and its 100% agreed that the Cavs are a lock to win this. Granted two of my kids are only 5, but you can't really argue with these numbers. The only question is whether it is 5 or 6 games. The series is pretty much over. Its hard for me to understand why they don't just give Lebron the trophy today.

Hell the finals for next year are pretty much over too. Lakers got this. We don't really need to pay attention to the NBA until after next season.

GS win in 4-1, LeBron looking for new team next season.

You're basically relying on the Cavs out shooting the best shooting team in NBA history and becoming s good defensive team when they've been mediocre at best.

Cavs have been locking down teams all playoffs. The best way to stop a top shooting team is to get in their face defensively. It throws shooters off. I'm telling you now the Warriors fg% is going to drop big time this series and the Cavs are going to rout them

What's your question? I've got so many from you guys it's hard to keep track. I have no probs explaining my rationale for the Warriors getting stomped this series.

The same as most have been telling you.

Based on what logic?

If Kyrie is playing 40 minutes that is essentielly 40 minutes Klay or Curry will have an abysmal defender guarding them. They managed to go off like crazy against a determined Westbrook and Roberson. Now drop the quality of defense down several big degrees and how again is Cleveland "mopping the floor with them?"

I actually hate basketball, but I ran an NBA Live simulation game and the writing is on the wall. This series will go 5 games before it is disconnected from the server.

Who is the best shooter the Cavs have "locked down"?

Warriors are resilient, they've proven that they can persevere when down and compete for a title two years in a row. Cavs better be ready.

The first two games at home are key for the Warriors. They're also going to need a fiery and energetic ROARacle atmosphere. But I can almost guarantee it will be LIT.

Yeah, something tells me the Warriors are slightly different than the Pistons or the Hawks. Cleveland has played great this postseason, definitely, and I think it's foolish to write them off (just look at what happened when people wrote off OKC), but it's a pretty big leap to go from beating up terrible teams to "Cavs are going to rout one of the best teams in NBA history."

So many fairweather Warriors fans up in here. Anyone that's watched both teams this post season can obviously see that the Cavs are a WAY BETTER team and are about to exact revenge for last years Finals loss.

Several of the posters in here are regulars in the previous NBA threads (both postseason and regular season) and are well known fans of other teams.

Who did the Warriors beat besides OKC that was good? Portland?!? c'mon. The Warriors are going to get beat at their own game this series. Love and Lebron are going to easily have their way with the Warriors

I mean best you could say is Kyle Korver, but he's a one dimensional player. Steph and Klay can drive into the lane and make plays. And the Cavs don't have the trees in the paint that OKC did to make life difficult down there for them.

I was actually going to say Kyle Korver, but he's been having shooting problems way before the Cavs series.

Your point being?? I didn't say everyone here was a fairweather Warriors fan. I've been an NBA fan my whole life. Just because most of you disagree with me doesn't mean a thing. Upsets happen and this is going to be an easy upset for the Cavs on their way to their first title.

Love might not be able to stay on the floor against the Cavs.

Guarantee I'm going to screw up this post? Yeah.
Warriors in 6. The Warriors bench >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the cav's bench.

Same can be said for the Warriors. Kyrie will drive all game long. So will Lebron and J.R. Smith. If the Warriors play that collapse on the driver defensive scheme they'll get killed by the 3....

Nothing says in-your-face defense than starting kyrie and love.

Golden State hasn't had a great playoffs, certainly not in comparison to their regular season. A fair bit of that is Curry's injuries, but Green and Thompson have had stretches where they've looked downright bad compared to their regular season brilliance. But it's not like the postseason triggers some switch where everything we knew about a team no longer applies. The Warriors are still the team that set the NBA record for wins. They are virtually unbeatable at home. They are the best road team in NBA history. It's a big stretch to assume that because they've had mediocre competition in the playoffs, they're underdogs to a Cavs team that has had even worse competition in the playoffs.

OKC taking them to the brink of darkness was the best thing to happen to the Warriors. LeBron is the most dominating player on both sides of any court he played on overall...but Adams, Ibaka, Kanter, Durant, Westbrook...there were times where they were all clicking and it still wasn't enough to break the will of the Warriors. LeBron + Kyrie + Love + Bigs/Smalls doesn't compare defensively...it's not even close.

There were plenty of times over the past week where I just legitimately thought it was over.
Can't quantify that quality. I don't know what the Cavs are made of, but it's hard to doubt this Warriors team.

Not to mention, The Warriors are more motivated than ever.

I don't like Draymond Green, but I also don't like Cleveland (the city and the fans, I like LeBron for the most part). I've also been a Steph fan since he entered the league.

So go Dubs.

Who did the Cavs beat that were good? The ECF was a walk in the park compared to the WCF.

Also, last I checked the Cavs got blown out by the Warriors at home during the regular season. And that was with Love and Kyrie playing.

The Finals are a different beast, but I just can't see how people think beating the Dubs will be easy.

Warriors just played 7 games against arguably the best off the dribble downhill guy in the game in Westbrook.

Cavs are a better 3 point shooting team than the Thunder, I'll give them that. But their interior and perimeter defense isn't close to as good. If their plan is to try to outshoot the Warriors from 3, good luck with that.

I just want a good series. Going to root for the Warriors though. They are just fun to watch. Never thought i would see a team get fast breaks and say "Fuck it" and shoot threes and drain them like they do.

Sadly, my Celtics couldnt get past the Hawks. =(

Warriors in 7. The Finals MVP will be Klay Thompson. LeBron will be all dramatic all series long.

According to this thread, Cavs fans don't care at all about defense. I guess that makes sense because the Cavs don't care about defense, either.

They won't need to... The Warriors turnovers and transition defense from all the bricks they'll be chucking is what's going to do them in.

I love how the Almighty Swan declares the Cavs are the odds on favorite and then gets shown proof that they are not and it is not even close and he continues on like he wasn't wrong.

I heard the NBA is reviewing that double foul with Green. Wouldn't surprise me if they give him a cheap F1 foul to suspend him for game 1. Wouldn't surprise me if they do it just so Lebron gets an easier game out of it.

I think as a whole, the league was pretty shit this year. Spurs, Thunder, Cavs, Warriors...every other team was crap.
