Now, you said it plays Hulu just fine? I noticed in this lifehacker article (which is where this thing caught my eye) that it doesn't handle Hulu/Youtube very well because of Flash or whatnot.

I mainly would like to use it to play backups of my movie collection (which has grown so big that I don't have the space anymore and will have to move to a drastic storage solution), anime, music and so forth. If it can do Hulu/Youtube pretty decently, I would be set.

Currently, it's only $200 on Newegg as well.

I read that same article and others that said as good as this nettop is, HD playback is choppy...

I took that into consideration as I needed a Win 7 machine to start learning off of.
That was the main reason...
but I loaded flash beta 10.1 and the Nvidia Chipset driver for Win 7 (this wasn't on the disc with the computer)

and I can post pics of Hulu/youtube playback.

It can play EVERYTHING fine including HD video but if you go full sreen HD in Hulu the fram rate does drop off (noticable to me...not to my wife or 5 year old thought)

for >$200 are you going to complain...if your buying this...it's not to powerhouse it...

it'll do HD video...and has the HDMI with it (side note....you have to turn your screen on first when using HDMI or the Revo won't recognize it)
I'm looking for a fix for this...
if you turn the nettop on and then the monitor (HDMI) it will default to VGA.
I thought it was a BIOS setting but it isn't.

Thank you GAF for piquing my interest in this book.
Got it on Thursday and I'm halfway through already.
My first manga and I love it.

Exactly! I partly blame my ignorance concerning the subject. :D

It's pretty slick, but wow. You must make some good money! If you do, awesome!

Wife and I were gifted a D3000 D-SLR for Christmas. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship
with the camera; kidding :lol
Sorry about crappy quality. I had to take the picture with my iPhone. Can't take a picture of the camera with that same camera now can I? Also, I'd imagine there is a thread for camera enthusiasts or beginners eh?

Hey is that Swedish money I spy there? :) Thought you were american due to the pickups but I'm guessing just an heavy importer ^^

Haha, I actually am American but that is a 20 kronor bill! Leftover from when I went to Sweden in 2006. I thought it looked cool so I kept it. I would've done that with more currency when I was abroad but a 20 kronor bill at the time was around <$5 so it's not like I was losing a whole bunch of money (as opposed to collecting euro/pound/Swiss franc/Czech crown bills). I'm normally pretty neat but I haven't spent a lot of time at home during college so I end up just leaving stuff everywhere.

Here's what's new for me, lately.

Couldn't resist, even though I don't have a turntable handy.

Picked these up towards the end of '09. Rather liking XIII.
I'm not hardcore into j-RPGs, all the streamlining sits well with me. Beautiful game.

I always get a good chuckle out of a grainy, noiseladen, low res image of an awesome camera. :lol

Gameboy415: Where are you going to find the time to play/watch all of that? -_-

This year, I'm going to buy less games and finally buy all the other things that I want. Starting with this:

4261725876_3eb3d68d79_o.jpg

Nike Air Max Classic BW (Nintendo). Size 10.5. $89.99
I've decided this year I'll start buying all the shoes that have been on my wish list for the past few years (and some that have been released recently). I'm not looking forward to spending upwards of $300 for a pair but to knock out some of the ones on my list, I'm going to have to. The Nintendo edition of the Nike Air Max was a pair that I wanted to get when it was released a year ago but never really followed through with the purchase. From the d-pad imprint on the tip to the start/select lettering on each pair, I really love the design. This will also mark the first time where I've bought a pair of shoes not to wear but to keep for collection's sake.

I also wanted the just-released Jordan XI Space Jams but the price has skyrocketed. My wallet can't take that sort of beating right now.

Oooo sexy! Those are deadstock now right? Where did you pick those up?

Bii: Awesome pick-up on the shoes. I got those myself (sz. 9) and I love them so much. Haven't worn mine yet as I'm really stuck on my Bruin SB Supremes, but I should probably wear them eventually. Next shoes on my list will be the Star Wars Adidas shoes. :D

Anyways, some pick-ups from today:

Threadless t-shirts:

- Kids in the Hall seasons 1-3. We have a buy 2 get 1 free sale on DVDs, and I've only ever owned season 1 before.
- Kingdom Hearts t-shirt. I wanted to have one KH shirt, but sadly the one I really want is no longer available.

^ White chocolate Kit-Kats are good, but the BEST Kit-Hats are coffee-flavored. I found some at Dollar Tree a year or two ago, never saw 'em again. They set the bar for Kit-Kat deliciousness.

First off, and most importantly: F-I-N-A-L-L-Y the Bayonetta.

jan-1.jpg

It's late for Christmas posts, but my mom dropped a Christmas Eve surprise: a 360. It's an Arcade, so a hard drive is on the to-buy list, but still - I didn't plan to buy one of these 'til Bayonetta's release. It was like a vintage childhood Santa moment, kudos to her.

jan-2.jpg

I had enough in post-Christmas gift cards to actually complete the collection of exclusives (console/HD exclusives) that have had me itching to jump in for the past couple of years. This is an instant collection for the long term, years of gaming.

Admittedly, it's silly to buy so many games all at once, especially with Bayonetta, Raiden, and DOAX2 are all I need right now...but it was a matter of convenience and great sales. Less than $5 for many, all in perfect condition.

jan-3.jpg

jan-4.jpg

Finally, I impulse-bought Darksiders alongside a few other cheapo games. Beyond the games, the much-anticipated Jennifer's Body is finally here, as is Ke$ha's rockin' debut album.

Play them in chronologic order (from WiiSports/Red Steel to NSMB Wii/Dead Space Extraction).

Buy another PS3 so I can play with/against you online :(

But yeah, when you told me you'd got a Wii, I didn't think you had also got so many great games. I own them all except BW2, good job! :D
