Yeah that game was awesome. For me that's probably the 3rd or 4th time I've had 3+ points in a game only for it not to count thanks to EA.

New tuners are supposedly up.

Here are the changes for the tuning update that was just posted (V1.02 for offline changes):

-Goalie and shot tuning to reduce exploit goals.
-Increased frequency of interference calls.
-Increased chance of CPU fight if user instigates aggression post-whistle (offline only)
-Tuning to teamplay ratings (Be A Pro, EASHL & ranked OTP)
-Acceleration and puck control tuning (EASHL & ranked OTP). The puck carrier will now have slightly less agility and acceleration than other players and will lose the puck a bit more easily.
-Increase poke check effectiveness (EASHL & ranked OTP)
-Slight decrease skating speed when stick lifting (EASHL & ranked OTP)
-Increased chance of unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for fight instigation while the clock is running (online only)

Seeing as it's impossible to hold the puck at times and the poke check is already mad effective, this could be a mess. How about lowering the effectiveness of the stick lift you pricks??

Ya, I already lose the puck with a good enough frequency to stick lifting and poke checking.

This is something they should be tweaking instead. A guy getting checked 3 or 4 times should not still be carrying the puck and skating like nothing happened.

I can understand them toning down the effectiveness of checks on the boards--they want you to use the board play mechanic. Whatever...it's stupid as hell that I skate at full speed at someone who is sliding on the boards and they just crisco through me...but fine, I can hold Y instead. But open ice is a pain in the ass since I'm so bad at stick lifting. I need to figure out how those fucking savants are stealing the puck from me every .5 seconds.

Boardplay feels like a crapshoot at times.

It's the open ice stuff I don't like that Marvie mentioned. There have been times where someone would "fight" off (pinball) through half a dozen checks then walk in for some weak goal because they have the puck glued to their stick.
