I own both and am leaning towards the 360 version.

You have to level your player up. There are 4 or 5 different cards(levels) you can reach. Each one requires a certain number of games played and maintaining a specific grade. The exact details are found in the performance tracker on the main menu. There are cards for online and offline so make sure you're checking the correct one.

One suggestion: if you want to level up faster and none of us are on, play some ranked OTP games. Its just like EASHL except you're playing with random people. They're good practice and they count towards your cards and stats.

You can try other control settings so you use face buttons to pass and shoot and stuff, but you can also still use the right stick to shoot.

Just keep practicing. It took me a little while to get used to the controls last year too.

Try playing a game with them, it's horrible. You have maybe a quarter of the abilities you would with normal controls. :lol

Ya, jumping back and forth from FIFA is crazy. There's something about the game speed that really trips me up. Haven't played FIFA in at least a month though, so I can't remember the differences.

Fifa is actually pretty quick--but the moves are so much more reasonable. It's HARD to do good "dekes." It depends not only on the little number on a player's "crazy move" stat, but also on the user's ability to do the correct button presses at the correct time in correct context. Not just "waggle the right stick back and forth as fast as you can." I really wish I liked soccer more--that game is awesome.
