It would be great if we'd actually be able to see DMC4 port to the Wii.

EA has shown that sports games, GTA style games, and even xTreme sports games can work on the Wii.

If anything, Capcom should be the first Japanese company to show how to create a high octane action Wii game that effectively uses the Wiimote.

A man can dream....

DMC on the Wii, that would be some funny shit. I bet soon after the release, there would be news how people are having seizures and strokes playing it with the motion controls. Oh, and the broken TV count would probably skyrocket.

That was just a target render. Just a meaningless as the RE5, Madden Next Gen, Motorstorm, and Killzone target renders. These always have impractical effects and polygon counts that only serve to make fans call "downgrade" when the actual game running on console hardware is revealed.

Those screens are from the original video released BEFORE the PS3 hardware was even announced to be complete! Same as EA Madden videos, same as Killzone videos. None of those were RUNNING on a PS3.

Do you see a HUD anywhere in those screens? They SCREAM pre-rendered.

Seriously, some people are so f**** stupid, they don't even consider the possibility that these pictures are simply from a different area than what's shown before. And they don't even consider what level of % complete this particular area is compared to what was shown before.
 
I know i've posted about the lost planet engine in this thread, but since the whole 100% announcement a short while back about multiple platform its brought out all the idiots...
 
The characters look great but the textures in the environment can use some work. Of course, it probably looks a lot better in motion.
 
What's up with all the pathetic trolls in this thread?

Anywho I'm impressed, the game looks quite stunning and even if it doesn't push the graphical power like Gears of War does it still looks 20x better to me simply because of the artdirection. Add to that the fact that Devil May Cry games never looked astounding from a technical standpoint and especially not in screenshots.
If the game looks like the new screenshots and runs at a solid 60FPS (I'm getting sick of 30fps and lower this gen) on my Xbox360 than I'll be more than satisfied.

It's not really troll, but it's a dumb comment. LP, DR, DMC4, and RE5 are all done using the same engine once it gets to a certain point it's taken to the specific platform and optimized. Multiplatform games can look great, but by their very nature aren't going to be maxing a platform since want compatibility on some level across the board.

I never said that these graphix were running real time on PS3 hardware back then.
I am just saying, that at some point between TGS05 and TGS06, Capcom dropped all efforts to ever reach (IIRC they were barking about to even surpass them) these visuals.

They just went the faster, cheaper route with multiplatform options ... the most logical way when your policy is MAXIMUM PROFIT.

That's one way of putting it or you could just cite what they've publically stated about the framework engine. Reason why visuals don't look like the renderings not enough power becaue the fillrate has been eaten up by HD.

I'm sorry but you give him way too much credit.

I don't care what system this game is on and even if it were still PS3 exclusive I would not appreciate such trolling. The games have always managed to look good and this falls in line with my expectations so I'm happy.

That level of destruction isn't any better than in the troll fight in RE4. In fact, it even had a cool DOF/MB effect, completely absent here.

Also, why is Nero's shadow projected TOWARDS the fire? :lol
 
just let the trolls be, apparantly they like too linger in the past (RE4), Just wait till RE4:wii comes out, itll look better than DMC4 according to them :)

I for one, will buy this awesome game the day it hits stores.

I just...I can't understand half of the reactions in this thread. It's like people are looking--really f*cking hard--to find something, anything to complain about. Not enough polygons being used? Textures are too low resolution? There's no self-shadowing?

What is wrong with you people? There's a signifigant leap between the previous game and this new installment and like the fact that there's no self-shadowing is going to drastically detract from the gameplay.
