I am really happy for Kazunori Yamauchi and PD. I can only imagine how happy they are with new hardware that resides in PS4. Now we can sit back and let them create the GT of their dreams. Looking at GT6 how amazing it is on PS3...i just get all giddy inside for the future of this series on PS4. It is going to drop many jaws once we see that true next gen GT game on PS4...that is a guarantee.

All preorders that specifically requested the anniversary edition before the cutoff date (I have no idea when that was) will get what they requested.

The gamespot website in the US is the only source still offering these as far as I know. I bit the bullet and ordered international through there. 20$ international charge for 2 copies.

So I have to go back & ask them specifically for the anniversary edition? urgh.

From the looks of Gamestop's website, all preorders are eligible for the 15th Anniversary Upgrade. I'd think the same would be true in stores as well. If you preorder, you get the 15th Anniversary version.

Same problem here.

I want to go digital for this one but there's literally nothing on the US PSN.

Why would that be?

I bought the game for the US PSN store a few hours ago.

It said you need 14GB free space so that means the game download itself is half that size.

It'll also make and standard/hand-me-down assets look even worse, so I can only hope they ditch/remake ALL of those. GT7 really has to be a sea change.

Really it'll only be 7 or so gigs? Seems small.

It says 14GB size on UK PSN yet whatever size PSN tells me for a downloadable game, I need double that to cover the install.

I cant see any scenario with GT6 being 7GB
When I put the game into my cart it said that the game required 14GB of hard disk space. All downloadable games have a similar message and its always been twice the size of the game, since it uses that extra space to unpack and install.

Maybe they're doing something new here, but that's what it said. Maybe somebody else can add it to their cart and verify it.

Downloaded a few game recently that said around 10GB required. All times I have needed 20GB+ to cover install as well.

When you consider that I just deleted my GT5 install that took up 14GB, I doubt GT6 PSN version will be half that.

The Japanese GT site says you need 30GB free space for the digital version.

14.3GB GT6 package download from store
14.3GB install to HDD
14.3GB GT6 package will be deleted after install

I wonder how big the "large" day one patch is? Better not be 4-5GB

It would not really be a surprise considering all the updates GT5 ended up getting. Great game, though.

IThey can patch it as much as they want as far as I am concerned. Last game of the generation for me (I wouldn't be surprised if it remained my most played game long after I pickup a PS4 when Driveclub arrives).

I prefer Soul on Display.

I thought I did as well but that song is really growing on me. Ever since GT4, Daiko Kasho's songs have been a favorite of mine whilst playing (wasnt keen on his GT3 ones though).

Hell, I even have a playlist of his songs ready to load when GT6 gets here.

On the subject of music. I know GT5 had custom soundtrack support. You needed to navigate the menus to set it up properly. It let you play your own mix from a playlist along with some tracks in GT5's playlist.

I hope they didn't drop this option from the game. I have a fairly decent playlist on my PS3 that I exclusively use for Driving / Racing games, and I'd definitely like to to use it in GT6.

Shit, I forgot about this.

I can't even conceive of playing this without my custom playlists for the menus and when on the track. Gah.

Beats the pants off of Forza 5 content-wise, I know that much. What is it, like 37 tracks and 1200 cars? As for the credit packs, I doubt there are cars or anything else that costs over 100 fucking dollars in real currency, lol.

Do we have any other numbers from the events? Coffee break is like the first one and if that nets you 250k I can only assume it'll scale nicely.

That's good to hear.

None at all.

We can thank the hackers for that.

I dont see why they cant implement something like what they did to GTPSP>GT5

Have the cars from your GT5 collection playable only in Arcade mode. At least that way, the hacked saves have no benefit for career/online modes.

This. The new song is really growing on me. And I love the Spec 2.0 Soul On Display. I wish these songs were available via iTunes or Amazon.

Edit:

WHOA!

Any word on the microtransactions? If they are anywhere near as bad as Forzas I'll just pass on GT6, sadly.

Sadly, I have been a GT day one buyer since GT3 A-Spec. So relatively new to the series. But I'm taking the wait and see approach now. I figure it'll take a week or so before real non-hype machine news starts to trickle out and we find out if it's been rebalanced to punish players and push micro transactions.

Man, I just love that video. I'm not much of a racing game fan,
I suck at them
but something about that video...it has emotion. Not many ads do.

Aaaaaaand the video is now private, oh crap lol
