It almost feels like GT6 has been made by the B team of PD, while the A team works on GT7 on the PS4 (Like ND did with Uncharted 3 and The Last of Us). Then we have Kaz saying that GT7 could be next year, making the theory more realistic.
I have to say i'm thinking about something similar. Talk about deflating hype. It's like the Sonic cycle. So far this looks like GT5 spec III. Not that it's a bad thing, but using the number 6 should mean more than just bug fixes and what should have been for GT5.
So you work with Yokohama on a tire model and you can't put tire pressure adjustments in? FFS, it's the most rudimentary and basic setup adjustment there is, it's the only one i can make on my own car any time i want. If the new tire model can't simulate that, then how about proper overheating, flat tires, marbles, different levels of grip zone, etc...?
And no Premium RUF's? My god, it's like you have 40 Porsches all modelled and ready to go, just waiting on a settlement... since you don't, why not ONE RUF?
Instead we get a Range Rover Evoque, a car that fits absolutely no criteria to be in a racing game and just screams Land Rover saying "we would like to have our car in". Also, last year we've seen them working on the Alfa 155 and the Lancia '85 and then the Mercedes quotes about new AMG models in... those cars are not ready?
There's got to be a catch somewhere, it's three years in the oven and most of the features are not ready, there's got to be some heavy PS4 development going on. If the game really is bug fixes + extra content, then only us, hardcore fans of the game will be able to enjoy it. The press will not be too kind with it.
This looks like a breakdown, but no, i will enjoy this game. I was just expecting more advanced features, specially with the Yokohama/KW partnerships.
As i said before, the PS3 is just too weak for the type of game they are trying to make. The sooner we move on to next gen, the better.
