I read that the Star Wars battlefront demo on the trilogy box set is apparantly an unsigned app, which loads itself onto the HDD cache, then reboots the xbox and runs.

If this is true, could it be exploited to run other unsigned or dodgy games without the need for a modded xbox?

Is this potentially the start of fully bootable ISOs doing the rounds?

Hasn't that start sounded a long time ago? You don't need a modded box to do that shit now. Plenty of other exploits.

No the thing different here from I understand of the description is that you put the demo disk in the xbox, it copies the executable in the cache, reboots and the game worksThe thing is, its an unsigned executable, it's like an unofficial executable. Not approved. You need those executable to be signed to run on a retail, unmodded xbox. So this demo is unsigned code running on non modded xbox.

That's actually a very bad thing, since it might open up cheating on xbox live
