NFL 2014 Wild Card |OT| The Prophet

That's pretty disgusting that Suh won, it couldn't be more blatant that he intentionally tried to hurt Rodgers. The silver lining is that Kas can't use that as an excuse for the impending loss. I'm not hating though, Lions-GAF as you winning would allow us to play the Packers with a potentially gimped Rodgers rather than SEA in SEA. Pretty screwed either way with our injuries but anything can happen in the playoffs.

I don't win anything, the Detroit Lions and the whole fanbase won. We need Suh out to play he makes our defense great. I'm much more confident going with him than without him obviously.

Glad to see the NFL make a correct decision for once. Common sense wins the day.

Even when he does nothing like he did in the Green Bay game?

Intentional stomping should be a fine and suspension but one has to wonder if the outcome would have been different if it wasnt Rodgers.

Are you kidding me? Wow NFL. Well, guess it's ok to step on players now as long as you can handle a drop in the bucket fine.

Somebody should step on Suh for karma in the game.

Did you watch the game? He had more tackles against Green Bay than any other game this year. Didn't get a sack but he commands a double team every single play. The defense as a whole had an OK game.

343 had a very small hand in MCC, they outsourced it. They take the fall because their name is slapped all over it and that's on them for not providing proper QA before letting it ship. H5 is an attempt at rectifying the mess that was H4 so people are curious to try the beta out and if they like the beta, why not be excited? You honestly think they'll ship H5 the way MCC did after the backlash? They now find themselves giving away a free game when it hits in the future to try and appease fans. They won't make that kind of blunder again.

There's nothing to debate here, you absolutely do not need to buy an Ultra HD set this year if you don't have a pressing need to purchase a TV. I'd normally wait until we had Ultra HD blu rays out before taking the plunge but as I needed to get a living room set ASAP, I opted to go with a set that will have me ready for when the discs and players do launch and we start seeing more content. I don't want to have to buy another tv in a couple years. I won't feel compelled to buy a replacement until large OLEDs are reasonably priced. I seem to notice more of a difference between 1080p and 4K then you do, however.
Halo 4 was a lazy mess. Halo mcc was outsourced? Even lazier.

Why in the world would anyone trust 343 after two shitfest: of a game? This is why gaming is a mess and ubisoft and ea get away with shit like ac unity being broken and sim city being a clusterfuck. Gamers give their money to a company before they release, and dont use past history. It's amazing how stupid gaming culture is as a whole.

Why do gamers not understand that a shit developer is always a shit developer?

The beta isnt even halo, its titanfall with smaller maps, no titans painted over with halo. Here's my $60 because you used an old Halo map!

If a car company made a car that you couldn't drive on a road, would you preorder their next car? Why do gamers encourage this shit?

According to NFLN, based on a newly updated rule for player safety issues, going 32 consecutive games without a safety violation expunges a players record.
Suh went exactly 32 games, so this was treated as a first offense.

so..... only $70,000 to take out the Best QB in the Playoffs?

I think we'll be seeing more and more blatant accidents on the field.

LeBron just wanted to troll that piece of shit city one last time that's why he's tanking and pretending to have lost a step. He and Love are then going to bolt to the Lakers this offseason.
Love, Bron, old man Kobe wanting #6(taking a page off Shaq) and eventually Westbrook or Rondo.

It's been the plan all along.

So he's not only dirty ..... he's brilliant. Got nothing but respect for that, gg.

Oh, he's definitely a crafty dude. That's what makes the "lost his balance" stuff so silly. He thinks it's acceptable to pull these stunts as long as it helps his team, so why not take a free stomp at the other team's QB?

Only miscalculation he made is that he stepped on the leg that was already hurt.

This league what a joke can't believe he is playing but can't say I am surprised with how the league has failed to come down on multiple issues this year.

They basically did a bad job with their first attempt and that's not enough for me to write them off forever. Halo 5 is what will be telling to me as they had backlash for 4's effort and have supposedly listened to the community. Now we'll see if that's true and if they are learning/growing as a young developer should. It is unfair to slam a developer with so little under their belt as if they've been milking a fan base for years. MCC has nothing to do with laziness on their part. It's a bunch of old games slapped together, it makes sense that they felt they could trust a partner to pull it off while they focused on Halo 5. Unfortunately, said partner shit the bed and now 343 has to clean up that mess while working on 5. Are they absolved of any blame? of course not, they had their name on it and are therefore accountable which should have warranted a solid QA check before allowing it to ship and they didn't. That's a blunder on their part and you're right that it should teach gamers to not pre-order blindly. It doesn't, however mean that 343 can't create a good game. You can slam gamers for blind buying but lets not pretend there's enough product out there to assume 343 is a shit developer. If H5 blows, have at it.

I love how Suh's suspension and then it being lifted didn't change the sportsbook odds for that game at all.

Not that I'm into that sort of thing. ;/

I don't watch college football at all, but reading up on a few mock drafts/players, a lot of places expect the Vikings to pick up Teddy's old buddy WR from Louisville, Devante Parker.

Is that the actual consensus? I figure they have a bigger need at OL than WR. Not that either position is in that great of a spot.

Rams/Fisher press conference notes

-No staff changes. Schotty back.

Called him "outstanding", which Rams fans on my TL are having fun with. I don't think he is as awful as a lot of people, but "outstanding" is silly

-Jake Long may retire. If he comes back it will be as a guard but has to prove he's healthy

-Robinson is LT starting week 1

-Bradford back and Fisher expects him start week 1

-Wants to bring in another QB for competition, either through draft or FA

-Expects Bradford's contract to be tweaked

This will be a fun issue for me since I think people underestimate Bradford's worth. He'd do fine for himself if they cut him and he became a FA. I ultimately think he just plays out his current deal

-Rams traded a 4th and 6th for Barron. Fisher outright said you could take that trade as indicative for what they think of this draft.

Reading between the lines, maybe they trade up again for a QB they covet?
