They like Barney. And we usually don't let them watch tv.

Speaking of kids as a 24 year old Sconi you must have at least 7 or 8 by now. What are some things you fed them when they were one? We are looking for something new.

We generally just give Natalie whatever we are eating.

Assuming you've already introduced them to the sophisticated and nutritious food native to Pittsburgh including Klondike Bars and Heinz ketchup, I find that Taco Bell is a good change up every once in a while. I'll defer to Bucs fans on specifics, they can definitely help you out with the menu.

We do that too but some of the food we eat is too spicy for them.

Once they eat real food they would not touch baby food. My wife is pretty obsessive about giving them something fresh too and she is always looking out for something new.

Legendary no one in my house eats fast food. I know it is fine dining in the Midwest but I think of it as poison.

poison? lulz

never pictured you as a hippie health nut. you prolly get hard looking at some romaine lettuce dont you? dont you!?!

Home cooked food is not only much better for you (your colon and heart can thank me later), it also tastes much better.

Why get some shit from Five Guys when I can grill an infinitely better burger from home?

Other than convenience when you are traveling I don't see why anyone would eat fast food.

Quick scream something mean about the Pats! You're making way too much sense, I don't like this 'Community Bionic' :(

That's not 'Community Bionic', it's 'Father Bionic'. Whether that comes from him having kids or his newfound appreciation of Tebow is left up to interpretation.

Were you here back in 04 when I first joined? You would have liked it then. Back then I was ridiculed for my hate of the Pats and everyone liked or respected them. Well I couldnt have that!

Thank God I came here and helped change that!

Because some of us are young(er), single, and on the move! Not strapped down at house with the wifey and two kids. :p

Nah... in all seriousness, i agree for the most part. I grab fast food as a connivence thing. It's faster(duh) and i dont have to clean! The only day i have time to actually grill would be the weekends. I love burgers waaaaaaaaaaay to much to have to wait until the weekend!

How long is that trip going to be?

Long and strange?

We typically eat all our meals at home. My wife is a celiac so if we go out and eat she is really limited in what she can eat, so it's easier to make things at home.

I still go out but usually it is for epic seafood (usually too expensive to eat regularly) or something we can't or don't know how to make at home.

What is this? Get back to your roots and hate on Tom Terrific but it's way cheaper to go get seafood and do a big seafood fest...well shellfish. That's the best. It helps when you live near an ocean of course.

Has Tebow been named the starter for the Jets yet?

Damn, just caught up on the last few pages of the NBA thread. Some of what Blackace said didn't sound too great.

Also, they made fun of our IRC chat. :-(

We will go out to a Teppanyaki grill every once in awhile. The chefs are good at entertaining, so it makes it easy to bring the kids along.

I honestly am not great at cooking seafood.

Forget Red Lobster I don't even has shit on garbage like Long John's!

I wish we were better at it though because I fucking love good seafood.

Only trick I know for Lobsters / Crab. Pour a bottle of dark bear in the steaming liquid. Makes the the meat much sweeter. So good. You really need one of those big pot things you can hook up to your grill to do it proper.

Great OP, Bucky. You gave the relevant information and didn't gunk it up (too much) with a bunch of image macros

Thread was moving so fast. I couldn't keep up

edit: So we are in the Community section now? I missed a lot. What the hell did NBA GAF do to get the mods so angry?

The NFL’s Competition Committee announced several proposed changes to the game-day rules and the league bylaws on a conference call with reporters on Wednesday afternoon.

The rules changes that are being proposed are:

1. Giving the authority to determine replay reviews to the replay official in the booth, not the referee on the field.

2. Modifying the horse-collar tackle rule to remove the exception for quarterbacks in the pocket, so that a quarterback in the pocket may not be yanked down by the back of his shoulder pads or inside collar of his jersey.

3. Changing overtime so that the postseason rule will be used in the regular season as well, and no regular-season games will be ended on a field goal on the first possession of overtime.

4. Adding a loss of down to the penalty for kicking a loose ball, as is the case in college football.

5. Adopting the college rule for too many men on the field, which is a dead-ball foul if a team lines up on offense for more than three seconds, or if a team on defense lines up with too many men and the snap is imminent. In those cases, the officials will blow the play dead and assess a five-yard penalty. This change wouldn’t affect the rulings on players running off the field who don’t get off in time.

6. Expanding the defenseless player rule to protect defensive players on crackback blocks, making it illegal to hit them in the head or neck area.

7. Automatically reviewing turnovers via instant replay, just as scoring plays are automatically reviewed.

The league also considered the following bylaws:

1. Modifying the roster rules for teams that play on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

2. Moving the trade deadline from Week 6 to Week 8.

3. Expanding the roster limit for training camp and the offseason to 90 players, with unsigned draft picks now counting toward that limit, whereas in the past unsigned draft picks did not count toward the 80-player limit.

4. Moving this year’s final roster cutdown day to Friday night instead of Saturday, which is designed to give an extra day of work after cutting down to final rosters for the two teams playing in the first game of the season, which this year is on Wednesday instead of Thursday.

5. Adding an injured reserve exemption so that if a player was on the roster through the first regular season weekend, that player can be placed on injured reserve and designated for return, and then can return to practice six weeks later and play in a game eight weeks later, rather than having all players on injured reserve out for the season.

6. Allowing one roster exemption per team per week for a player who is inactive with a concussion.

some faux safety things, moving a useless trading deadline back 2 weeks, adopting some college stuff meh

There was a post from evil lore on the thread....something about being rude and offensive to female posters....
they got devo'ed pretty much

That roster exemption rule seems like such a bad idea waiting to happen, suddenly every team has at least 1 guy with a concussion every week.

Also, ugh at more review. Because what the NFL really needed is more commercial breaks.

Did I miss the discussion about Aikman saying Romo is a better QB than he was?

Was Aikman better? He was not a spaz like Romo and could hand off the ball or hold a kick and was not trying to be a pro golfer. But he never really scared me as player. I was always most impressed by their general talent level and their oline.

Plus no way Romo kicks horny girls out of his hot tub...

The absolute worst are ESPN forums and comment threads. They make the dumbest GAFer look like geniuses in comparison.
