Injury report from Cowher's press conference today:

Out: Bell (Groin), Haggans (Groin)

Doubtful: Kriewaldt (Hammy)

Questionable: Burress (Hammy), Scott (Knee), Staley (Hammy)

Probable: Bettis (Knee), Cushing, Haynes (Knee), Polamalu (Shoulder), Ward (Hip), Okobi (Back)

With Haggans and Kriewaldt out again, Cowher better put Harrison back in on special teams, or else the return team may suffer another disasterous performance like last week.

I think Burress and Staley may practice to see if they can go this week because this is the last week I think they'll even consider them for a game. No way I see either of them playing up in Buffalo in the beginning of Jan.

Too many injuries late in the season. :(

At least they are not season ending though. What happens if we tie with Indy at 13-3, then who gets the bye? I would rather not find out though. We need that bye badly, it will be a lifesaver to get everyone healthy.

Eagles have scheduled a press conference to update TO's situation. No way they do this to tell everyone he is fine. Eagles are offically a cursed franchise.

I'm not going to lie... if he is seriously hurt I will laugh... alot. I'll hope he recovers of course... but I'll still laugh... alot.

It's REALLY hard for me to root for the Eagles. Sure, McNabb seems like a decent enough guy, but between TO and the Philly fans.....let's just say I hope they're playing as the L.A. Meterosexuals in 2006.

Anyone who believes all the hype about eagles fans is an uninformed moron. Its funny how the media can manipulate people so eaisly.

Edit: He will be back for the superbowl at the earliest (not gonna happen). Look like another year of stinkston dissapearing in the playoffs. Mcnabb needs to be ready to run, ALOT.

I live close to Philly, I always thought Eagles fans were pretty bad. Though to be honest I have no one else to compare them to because I have only been to Eagles football games. I never thought the the Sixers of Fliers fans were that bad. Philly fans are quick to boo anyone they don't like or their own players if they feel they suck, but it seems Philly fans pride themsevles on that fact. Then again, supposedly they banned everyone from the 700 section when they built the new stadium.

Regardless, no one is ever going to diss Philly fans again. Detroit fans now make Philly fans (and all other fans for that matter) look like saints.

Why does god hate me? At least the nfc is complete garbage and we still have the best defense in the nfl. Maybe TO will make a miraculous return in the superbowl.

Just watching the live report on Comcast Sportsnet, TO is out for the playoffs, will have surgery this Wed. to put in a screw. He has a small fracture. Best case scenario, he may play in the Super Bowl.....but that's absolute best case.

What happens if we tie with Indy at 13-3, then who gets the bye? I would rather not find out though. We need that bye badly, it will be a lifesaver to get everyone healthy.

If Indy and Pit finish at 13-3, the tiebreaker would come down to strength of victory.

Currently, the Steelers are ahead in the department, .461 to .435. Tough to say what would happen in the coming weeks, because if the teams that the Steelers beat keep winning like they have, that percentage goes up regardless of what the Steelers do. IMO, I don't think the Colts can catch them there, even with a victory over SD this week.

The other way that the Steelers lose the bye is if SD finishes 13-3 along with the Steelers finsishing 13-3. SD would have the better AFC record, 10-2 to 9-3 if that scenario occurs.

Of course, both of those scenarios require NE winning out, because if they finished tied with the Steeelers, they are bumped out of the bye scenarios by virtue of the head to head loss. It's all enough to give you a massive migraine really.

So, in other words, if the Steelers win this week, the bye is theirs. If they lose, and SD loses, they are still very, very, close to getting the bye.

Whats so funny? The only stat that matters is points given up per game.

Philadelphia 14.4
New York (A) 14.7
Pittsburgh 15.7
Baltimore 16.1
New England 16.7

It's going to take years for the Irvin incident to largely fade from the public memory. You reap what you sow. *shrug*

So why dont the cardinals fans get any crap for cheering when Youngs went down. It happens all over the nlf every year.

I just dont see a real difference between devoted fans of any team, and I have moved around quite a bit. If TO went down in cleveland or pittsburg it wouldve been party time for the fans. Just look at this board alone and see how many people love the fact that he is injured. Irvin had the same type of personality that people loved to hate, the only difference being he had just as many problems off the field with the drugs and hookers. In other news, Brian Westbrook is now the best reciever on the eagles.

Apples and oranges. TO sprained his ankle, Irvin was paralyzed. As DarienA mentioned, I hope he makes a healthy recovery, and I'll be first to admit, should Pitt have to face Philly in the SuperBowl, I'll be damn happy TO isn't playing (as would any Steeler fan), but that's a bit different than 66,000 people publicly cheering in unison when a guy can't even move a muscle to get himself off the field.

time for andy reid to work his magic w/o T.O.!

Now im not 100% on exactly what happened when Irvin went down, hardly remember it, but i am sure that it wasnt the majority of the fans cheering. They did get loud when they saw he couldnt move but they couldnt possibly have known it was a serious neck injury at that point. It was just a big hit that knocked him out. Putting TO in that situation against a division rival on the road, I think you get the same reaction from the fans.

TO has given me hope that maybe he will return. We cant beat any of the top 3 AFC teams without him.

"They would probably have to put me in a strait jacket," said Owens when asked what would keep him out of the Super Bowl should the Eagles win their first two playoff games.

That sucks that TO is out. You always want the best players to be playing in the postseason.

Have the MVP ballots been cast yet? Because once people see the Eagles offense without TO I think he might be getting a lot more votes.

At least the AFC playoffs will be the most stacked I have ever seen for one conference. Without TO the NFC might really have perfect parity this year now.

I called the Bucs collapse with like 6 minutes left in the game yesterday. You just knew it would happen. They've been so pathetic these past two years in the fourth quarter that it isnt even funny. What a shitty year of football for me.

Im one of the biggest fans of Irvin now. I agree 100% with his thoughts on Stinkston. The guy has no heart. He is a disgrace to all WR's in the NFL. Irvin also said he refuses to call him anything other than Stinkston. Apparently the Eagles have contacted Antonio Freeman, I guess the coaches have just as much faith in our recieving core as I do.

Given how the NFC is playing, the Eagles of course still have a shot. It's like McNabb said last night, they got to the title game before without TO. If I was an Eagle fan though, I'd be frightened to death of the thought of Carolina getting in. Based on what happened last year and with how Carolina is playing now (outside of the top two NFC teams, they are by far playing the most consistent) they are not a team I would want to have to face. Good luck guys.

As an Eagle fan i was cracking up watchin Irvin rip "the boy" a new one. between the end of the regular season and the playoffs they should put pinkston in hitting drills. just put him in a position while their out doing drills to get hurt. Worst Case is that he gets really hurt and cant play that well. (But is that really a loss considering how he is playing right now) And Freddie Mitchell is not that bad to have as a reciever. He seems to make big plays when it matters. Fred-Ex can deliver givin the chance.

i can also see the Eagles spreading Westbrook to a WR on a couple more plays each game. With his speed he can blast past some of the slower CB's and make the catch as demonstrated in some of the previous games.

goddamit, Griese!
ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Charles Woodson and safety Marques Anderson were arrested early Monday for investigation of public intoxication following the Raiders' victory over the Titans.

The Oakland Police Department said the players were arrested at 4:20 a.m. in downtown Oakland after refusing to leave the back seat of a woman's car. Both were jailed briefly, police spokeswoman Danielle Ashford said.

"Apparently what happened, an officer in our transportation section was flagged down by a woman who said the men were in the back of her car and wouldn't get out," said Ashford, who was uncertain whether the players knew the woman. "They were very uncooperative. They had problems maintaining their balance, bloodshot watery eyes and had a strong odor of alcohol. They were acting in a belligerent manner."

:lol :lol :lol :lol Nice work fellas.

The guys on ESPN Monday Night Countdown seem to all think that there is no way TO is coming back even for the Superbowl.

Their too busy riding the Patriot train to think that maybe he can . Its not like most of them has had this injury so they dont know how T.O feels.

knowing the kind of player that T.O. is, if the eagles made it to the superbowl i 100% guarantee you that he would play. he would pretty much be at 75% or below, but T.O. at 10% is 100% better than a healthy todd pinkston. freddie mitchell can be a decent option i believe, but a decent option in the same way that tai streets was a "decent" option for us last year. i won't call mitchelle the JJ Stokes of the eagles (insult) nor would i call todd pinkston the JJ Stokes of the eagles (giving pinkston too much credit), but without T.O. there isn't a shot in hell that the eagles can compete with ANY playoff team from the AFC, top 3 or otherwise.

i was looking at that playoff picture and i started to feel bad that we are going to eliminate the bills this weekend. the bills are one of the few teams besides the niners that i have no problems with in this league. sadly, ken dorsey and co. have to tear them to pieces. thurman thomas am cry

I totally agree. If Eagles can make it into the playoffs then T.O will be playing. And if he does then i think it can be a close game with any of the AFc top 3. without him they may as well surrender.

Anyone watching Monday Night Countdown? I will never get tired of Irvin ripping into Pinkston because everything he says about the guy is true.

I think Todd Pinkston may be the worst receiver in the NFL. Most terrible receivers at least try to be good. Pinkston ran away from the ball in two consecutive weeks to avoid the safety.

Little punk should be cut just for that.

Seriously, Bill Bellichick is just fucking around with us now.

"Throw Brown in on Defense. Yeah, yeah, and then put Vrabel and Semour on the offense. Still not insane enough? Alright, then...let's break out the 0-6-5 defense. That'll piss everybody off"
