That wasn't just a vicious hit. That hit was intended to seriously injure. Heat of the battle is a hard hit. Not an elbow to the throat.
 
at the MOST the rest of the season. and that's pretty extreme. 1 game would be fine with me.

if players get into goddamned fist fights before the game and only miss that game, this doesn't deserve any worse punishment.
 
For a first offense, it's tough to say if the league will go beyond a stiff fine for Darius. But I'm sure a play like that doesn't sit well with league officials at all because it's one of those defenseless situations for the WR. I'm sure they'll seriously consider a game suspension.
 
That was an inexcusable hit by Double D, 1 or 2 game suspension is in order I think. I really hate it because it ruined an otherwise amazing show by the Jags.

Oh and I could've punched Deon Grant for celebrating too much.

But still, go Jags!

No. That was an arm to the chest that shouldn't have been thrown and went a few inches too high. Stupid, yes. Penalizable by ejection from the game? Probably not, by the letter of the law, but as a Jags fan I didn't have any complaints about the call. An intentional hit to injure an opposing player? No, and nobody who saw DD on the sideline afterwards, or knows anything about his past record would think twice about that one.

Looks like Moore gave up on that play somewhat. Too bad.....Still, we're within 3, and it's been a great overall effort. I hope they go to Heap soon.
 
yeah, if i was the ravens i would still do all the shifting and movements, but not blitz as much.
you know at halftime the colts are thinking of how to burn them on the man to man coverages.
 
This Ravens defense is playing very well.

It's also fascinating to watch the Ogden/Freeney battle on the edge. Ogden is barely containing him at times.

Agreed Moore definitely didn't complete the route... and I agree with Em too... we gotta be careful with the aggressiveness in this 2nd half.

Jamal has run well for the most part... but once again our passing game is anemic. Jamal's got 90 yards... hopefully he's feeling good enough to get back out there and bang out a whole bunch more.

Goddamn our offensive playcalling is sucking up the joint again today... we're not gonna win like this... our defense is gonna start showing signs of getting tired soon.
 
yeah, i dunno why they didn't run on that 3rd down....if you go shotgun, at least try and take a shot downfield. makes no sense to not run and just try for a 6 yard pass.
