Do we need 5 people online or will CPUs fill in? I've never played EASHL premade before. My Internet is still laggy as shit not sure if I'll be able to play =/

We get games going every couple of days. I see no point shutting it down because noone showed up last night, its not like anyone promised they would get on.

We haven't played in a week and have only played ~30 games in the last 2 months. Even Noz doesn't show up anymore. >:|

Yeah a lot of people did give up until 12 it seems. Haven't seen noz, schuey, or montresor in a long ass time.

On a positive note, today's whiteboard about the Presentation features actually sound good!

As an example of what I am talking about, consider a goal sequence from NHL 11:
- User scores a goal then utilizes the User Controlled Celebrations and dives on their belly out at center ice.
- The camera then cuts to that same player now celebrating with their team behind the net.
- The sequence then wipes to a replay of the goal
- There is a cut back out of the replay without a wipe/transition
- The player is then congratulated by his team at the bench
- Camera cut to players lining up for the next faceoff.

In the above scenario, there isn’t enough of a sense of where we are in time (replay/current time) or continuity of where the players are supposed to be from one shot to the next.

For NHL 12, we believe we have done a much better job with this and the result is a more seamless experience and is much truer to what you would see when watching the broadcast of an NHL game on television:

- User scores a goal and does their custom User Controlled Celebration
- Broadcast cut to the crowd celebrating or possibly the Goalie recovering from the goal and grabbing his water bottle.
- Cut back to goal scorer on ice showing an overlay of the goal info
- Transition into replay
- Replay from multiple angles with an overlay indicating that it is a replay.
- Transition/wipe back out to real time
- Next Faceoff

I hated replays in NHL 11 because it was the same fucking hit that you see 30+ times a game, hardly any good goalie saves, NO hip checks on replay, NO good defensive break-up replays. Sounds like its going to get a lot better presentation wise.

well we could fix all of thisssss or we could just let people run goalies and keep continuity in user goal celebrations! woo!

I've been busy collecting things to get my live stream going and dealing with insomnia, which in turn causes me to not really be up to doing, well, anything.

Hey everyone, Nate here to give you a look at what’s new for EASHL in NHL 12. I know there are a lot of EASHL fans out there who have been chomping at the bit for new info on Clubs, so without any further delay, I’m going to jump straight into it.

First off, something that many fans have been asking for is finally here. You are now able to save different position presets. Your center, right wing, left wing, defenseman, and goalie now all have separate slots. Is your team short a defenseman tonight? Not a problem. Just load up your defensive build and you’re good to go. Gone are the days of forcing your teammates to wait for you while you reapply your attribute points and boost slots. Don’t you worry fans of Ranked OTP, you too have access to the five different position presets.

On second thought "Just load up your defensive build and you’re good to go" this worries me. It makes it sound like you still have to your build set before you join. Fucking EA, should've known it was too good to be true.

Why is it hard to make it so d-man = preset d-man build and forwards = preset forward build

good to see "builds" made it in, will help me a lot since I switch back and forth all the time

the new "improved" player progression system is lazy, wow 3 levels between each card is such an improvement that I am excited for...

I was hoping they would go away from the NHL 11 EASHL route of allowing players to assign their attribute points freely and go towards the FIFA 11 CLUB system which allows less control, but I think is a lot better and would keep people from breaking the game as easily

also great decision EA to place to put the club scouting in the pause menu, I really am looking forward to pausing the game in the 2nd period to "scout" the team I'm playing against, because it wouldn't have made any sense to just display this "scouting screen" while the game is loading or before the puck drops where it would actually be useful
