The Devils' ability to finish chances is the difference in this series. They're really really sharp if you give them an inch.

Devils still have Shaky Marty in net so nothing is guaranteed IMO. All the Rangers have to do is win Game 6 and then Game 7 is back at home for them.

Jeez, the Devils keep surprising me. In October I predicted they would be one of the worst teams in the league, and now they're a win away from the finals.

What a tough game to lose. All those close goals...fucking hurts man. They need to get their defense together. They been flawless all playoffs, now lose back to back games due to sloppy plays. Devils executed more and thats all that matters.

Both the Kings and Devils were out of the playoff race for decent stretches during the season.

Both made coaching changes recently, total reversal in team philosophies. Both are VERY different clubs than those that could have been expected to take the ice in October...

Hard to do at this point IMO because of the style the Rangers play and how many games they've already played in these playoffs.

Just saying this team's success is mind boggling. LA I get. They had a playoff build to them. Strong team defense paired with elite goaltending wins playoff games. The Devils? I really can't think of anything that made them stand out.

I'm just cheering for 7 games and lots of overtime. Beat eachother up. Gotta get ready for Flyers-West.

I'm just praying we see Gagne come back. I'm not optimistic, but fingers crossed.

I'm pleased with the end result of tonight's game. Devils were just having some fun. Series is still going to 7, though.

Why make fun of the Canucks? Looks like they might have lost to the eventual Cup winners yet again. I am not even a fan of theirs but I wish Daniel Sedin was healthy from the get go because that had the makings of an epic series with the Kings if he was.

Oh, by no means is anything guaranteed. I just don't think this team has any real answer to the Devils' offense other than hoping Lundqvist plays like a golden god, which, to be fair, he does do from time to time.

I don't really think this series is getting to Game 7. This WAS the bounce back game, and they really did bounce back, played their best game since the Capitals series, and still got beat, giving up even MORE goals than the last game in the process. I can't think of much more demoralizing for a team than that.

Here's hoping, though!

I can't even get mad about this series anymore. I've just reached pure apathy. It's like my hatred for both teams has cancelled eachother out.

Got to watch the Kings game with a big Kings fan at that bar last night. That was fun. I enjoy having someone to cheer for, but watching someone have that edge of their seat look in their eye just makes me jealous :'(

I predicted Rangers in 7, but said I was hoping for the devils to go to the finals. I am ok with being wrong. LA/NJ final is ok with me.

tough loss for the rangers tonight. barry melrose said he'd rather have the kings face NJ than NY because lundqvist can steal a series. it's about time lundqvist did that then. i expect this series to go to 7.

i want to face the rangers.

Somehow I hear this argument every year, yet somehow you guys are always wrong.... I think I realized people just say this every year in hopes that they might finally be right. As in a broken clock is even right twice a day.

If it's a Kings/Devils final, at least I'll want one specific team to win, the Kings. That'll make it interesting to watch at least from a "fan" perspective. But I'd much rather watch the Kings and Rangers :(

Watching these playoffs the team that had the most success against the Devils was the Panthers and they skated the puck in almost exclusively. The flyers tried to shoot the puck in most of the time and failed big time, and it seemed the Rangers were shooting the puck in a lot for most of this series. I know it is hard to skate the puck in with all the interference that happens away from the puck but the Rangers have to find a way to fight through it.
