So what is there really a hawt Mariners, Seahawks, and Sounders fanbase in Van?
Vancouver has the Whitecaps, so the Sounders aren't really there. Baseball is NOT big at all here, and we have... uh... I don't even know what they're called. The BC Lions are pretty big though, so it's not very surprising that the Seahawks are pretty big too.
I'm sure there's predominantly Canucks fans in Seattle/Oregon too.
It's not even about cheering for the team on a constant basis, but if they're in a championship game, you just cheer for people that are part of this geographic/cultural region.

I know a lot of huge Seahawks fans. They go to games occasionally. I'm talking well before the team was at all competitive. The NFL is big here, period. And most rep the Hawks. It's always been like that.
Some Mariners fans, but few. No Sounders fans for obvious reasons.
The only reason 'Pacific Northwest' is new to you is because... I assume... Seattle rarely gets national attention.

Nothing wrong with CFL. I find the game more entertaining than NFL. And the western teams are the best supported.

If Seattle got a team I figure most people who are just casual watchers would pick them.
It doesn't help that we don't have a TV team, so we only get NHL Network/NBCSN games unless you buy a package or stream stuff.
